You don't put kids on a tenancy. You mention who the dependants are, but that's it.

    I don't understand it either.

Did he never talk about work, people, jobs etc? Not once in 11 years?

In 11 years, nobody ever slipped up about it in front of you, his family or mates etc?

He never came home with paint splashes on him?

Nobody ever called or he never called anyone from home regarding jobs?

Did he always have money or were things always tight?

You never saw a bank statement in 11 years? If you did, you never noticed payments on it from the DWP?

Did you never have a holiday from your work in 11 years?

Did nobody ever come from the DWP to your home for appointments about HB and CT claims? Because they do after a certain while ~ with me they would come every 6-12 months.

    Odd. Very odd.

of course that could have happened

the problem is also if the husband was claiming housing benefit while she was working then she might have to prove she didn't know what he was doing

I dont understand how the husband could have claimed housing benefit without the OP knowing - He would have had to of supplied NI numbers and the proof that he was claiming child benefit and CTC for the daughter, how could he have managed that if the Child benefit was being paid into the OP's sole bank account ?

Has the OP's Husband given her any explanation as to why he lied for 11 years ? If indeed the Husband has been claiming IB then why isn't she aware of his disability or illness, surely if he's been unfit for work for the last 11 years she'd have actually noticed that he had a long term condition or disability ? lets face it its not something most people would miss.

Whilst you're clearing up the mess, who insures the car? Dad or you?

As it is a bank holiday weekend and Tuesday seems a long time away peraps Woen's Aid may help, give them a ring and explain they may be able to poibt you in the right direction. I think he is probably lying about it all and trying to scare you

Just to get it clear in my head - did your OH take the finance out in his name? If so i would let him have the car as he's responsible for it and certainly not give him £3k. Is it on HP? if so he could get into trouble with the finance provider as he hasn't got the car registered to himself and therefore won't have it insured fully comp? just a thought.

    .

Yes, although the car was for me the finance was took out in his name but my dad as the registered keeper. The car only has about 4 payments left on it and then its all paid for. As soon as i found out he has stopped the direct debit i cancelled the insurance and the car is locked away.

Just a thought that he's probably claiming he's on benefits etc. to avoid having to pay child maintenance.

What on earth has happened for this lowlife to be so vindictive?

  • i too think he has been working and claiming

would he even have been able to get finance if unemployed?

and also, if he wasn't working but you say he said he was a painter and decorater,,, how comes you didn't notice no-one was ringing him for jobs or that he didn't advertise anywhere?

i know i am suspicious and might have got this all wrong but i get the impression you were fully aware of the fact he was claiming and you were working and now you have split up you are 'testing' this story to see how beleivable it is

i sincerely apologise if thats wrong, just how its coming across to me

It would be so much easier if i could hold my hands up and say yes i know he was claiming benefit & working but at this point i dont know if he is or isnt. I just have is word at the moment.

Yes i washed his clothes, yes his mobile never stopped, yes he would paint the same old dears houses every xmas but from him picking our daughter up from school at 3.30pm & collecting me from work at 6pm he had showered and there was no paint on him. The outhouse is still full of his painting things and paint.

No one that i know of has ever came out to our home apart from the housing assoiciation when he was interview for the property when i was at work.

Yes i had holidays but we took them together and always went away.

He has 2 bank accounts. 1 with halifax and 1 with Lloyds. I dont have any statements here just credit card statements but i cant never remember seeing anything from DWS. It was all what he has paid in & what was coming out.
