Big hugs to you, sorry I have no practical advice. And to echo others, I'd be round with some goodies for you all too if I were nearer.
Remember - this too shall pass.0 -

Hi Ella
i don't know anything about benefits, but when i your child benefit due. Is it at all possible that you can get in touch with the child benefit office and ask if they could bring forward payment.Smile, you are beautiful:)0 -
Hi, Ella05, so sorry to hear about your situation, I can't imagine what it must be like for you at the moment. Its horrible when there isn't alot of support out there to help when times get hard. I know when I had to leave my marrital home no one wanted to help me, as far as the local authority's were concerned I could go sleep on a park bench and they would take my son into care, I was lucky as I had a supportive family who took me in so I don't have any practical hands on advice to give but I did have a look round the net and found the following which might be useful and if they can't help i'm sure they can find someone who will.
Barnados 0161 628 663
Oldham chums for mums 0161 345 3466 (You can google this for information online)
Threshold Housing Project 0161 626 0844 (We offer emergency, temporary and supported housing provision for homeless or formerly homeless people I know ur not homeless but they probably have support numbers for people who can)
Oldham Family Crisis Group 0161 628 4991 (Support group for women suffereing domestic abuse, I know this isn't ur case but I would imagine they would have details of support groups in the area who could help)
I would also follow the advice of some of the others ansd get in touch with your local MP they can be helpfull sometimes, I would also contact your local church.... even if your not religious my mums church has a support network that do help a few familes on low incomes with groceries etc and I know that some sikh temples have very good support networks and also have food kitchens going all day to which you may be invited to join all they expect in retun is maybe help with the washing up etc (the latter is advice from a friend)
Also check whether your housing association if you rent your property (ignore if your an owner) have a tenants association as they may have people who can help esp if your behind on your bills etc.
One bit of advice that i'm gonna probably get shouted at for is try and keep you computer and internet access for as long as you can, when you get down and low, or at your wits end and you need a friend at least you'l be able to find one here no matter what the time of day
I really hope you can get things sorted quickly and without too much trouble

You haven't said what food you have bought with the money you've gained from selling items.
£10 buys a lot of pasta and rice so I think you would benefit from the oldstyle board.
I realise you are struggling but it's hard to give concrete solutions when you don't say what you've already done to try and feed you and the kids.
Today, get yourself along to the surestart centre to save electric at home - it's daft to use what little you have when there is a warm and safe place open to you.
They will also give you the number for homestart and will probably let you call from there.
Tbh I think they are likely to help by contacting ss and other agencies too if you are there all day as you have no electric at home. Stress too you have no milk or nappies - take the LO in a towel if you have to!
I also think now may be the time to call on anyone you know in your area - you will probably be surprised how generous people are if they know the situation.
Whatever else you do, please get cooking advice from here before you spend any money you manage to acquire as you need to make sure it lasts!0 -
Have you contacted your health visitor?0
