Hi Skintchick, nice to meet a fellow attachment parent :) I also wanted to do the BF helper thing but what with working four days a week I thought it might be a bit too much although I'm keeping it in mind for my next maternity leave.

Do you still have LO in bed with you? How do you cope BDing? DD is in a side cot and so far we haven't found it a problem, just have to pray she doesn't wake up and normally I'm a bit vocal so have to keep quiet - adds to the excitement a bit and means we don't have to have any marathon sessions which I'm too tired to do anyway and to be honest I think I would get bored! Or do you do it in another room? Probably more sensible
Why hello. I was thinking of doing attachment parenting. I really need to look into it more as I don't know the full extent of it. What age to you begin to seperate from the lo?

Thanks emsbet - I'm going to check my letter when I get home, as I am almost sure they said something about internal - which I thought was really strange at the time! I do remember having a conversation with the Dr about whether I needed a full bladder or not. I don't remember the outome of that conversation though. Doh!

I miss you over here - but obviously very glad you are over there! Hope everything is going well, and GL for today

Morning lovely ladies, its GORGEOUS here today - long may it last!

I spent the weekend with DW doing some DIY - and let me tell you, putting up privacy frosting on your windows is a maker or breaker relationship wise. I swear DW was about 2/3 of the way towards killing me! :D Suffice to say, we will never renovate a house together.

Im at work with something irritating in my eye and it WONT come out, does anybody have a good trick for getting something you cant see out of your eye?!!

So I have my 7do blood test tomorrow and my scan for ovarian cysts on Saturday. Has anybody have that scan? I think they go internally to check and I'm a bit concerned that I'll be 11dpo it could upset my non existent bean! Im 98% sure that its not us this month, as the timing was off, which is why I dont feel like I am in the 2ww and wont have a testing date - BUT, 2% of me is a bit worried about the what ifs.

I had one done about a year ago. They do an external ultra sound first and if there is anything that needs looking at in more detail they will do and internal one straight afterwards. With me they told me there and then that it was ok and showed me an area that looked like a calcium build up next to my left ovary??? Doc said it was fine though, it didnt have a blood supply so shouldnt be anything harmful. It certainly didn't hurt.

*You will need a full bladder

On another subject, I hope you dont mind me asking but my sister and her partner are hoping to have children in the future - which of course we all fully support, they would make fab parents. How are you finding your experiance?

Aaah I know that feeling 2b! Have you tried building Ikea furniture with your DW yet? I've never been closer to cheerfully throttling my DH than when we built a large Ikea wardrobe in a space that was only 1 inch bigger than the wardrobe. Although afterwards we did understand each other much better, I think all newlyweds (or those about to newlywed!) should build something together with awful instructions and if they're both still alive at the end, consider it a loving and lasting relationship!

I've had a scan for cysts on my ovaries, they did an external scan first (which didn't show much) and then an internal scan which showed more. The internal didn't hurt, and wasn't really any worse than a smear test and no more invasive than that either. If you're at all worried, just let the person know you're TTC before they do anything!

Update from me on the testing front, I have resisted testing again since Sat, but only because for 2 hours yesterday I had proper AF-style cramps and was convinced I was out for this month, particularly after seeing a bit of bright blood when wiping (sorry, TMI!) But then the cramps stopped for the rest of the day and no more blood. Now had some mild cramps this morning, but they don't hurt as much as proper AF cramps, and feel a bit 'weird' (can't quite describe it!). Have had a bit more blood this morning, but it's light, and mixed with brown and definitely not full AF. So I'm well confused! Usually any kind of cramps means AF if here, so I'm not sure what's going on. Will stay on the testing list for the moment and just keep hoping the cramps go away again...

jennynoo that attachment parenting sounds really interesting, I think I'm going to read up some more on it!

    Also where is newyearnewstart??

    xxx

Hello! I've had scans for ovarian cysts and they've always been internal. I don't think they have to be though but they may be able to see more this way (my first though was in early pregnancy so the may have continued internally to make comparison easier). I wouldn't worry about upsetting a budding bean though, they're gentle and only in the vg. At our local hospital they're done in the same place as pregnancy scans so they are able to show you on screen but I couldn't make anything out apart from blobs and fuzz. HTH

Hi Emsbet! Hope you and bean are super :D

been there done that, my fave was, build wardrobe realised it was wrong, unbuild, rebuild correctly, wardrobe won't fit through door to room, unbuild, rebuild incorrectly in room, unbuild, OH has a massive hissy fit and storms off, I persevere and 6 HOURS after starting at 11pm have finished :eek::eek::eek::eek:

Hope the witch stays away Scarly, a little bit of bleeding and cramping is not that unusual in early pregnancy but 10 dpo is a bit early for testing

Hehe - after witnessing my DH's disasterous attempts at putting up a lampshade, he has been banned from all DIY/home improvement/flatpack furniture assembly, except where it involves heavy lifting. I, on the other hand, got very excited about my purchase of a cordless drill a couple of weeks ago :)

So... I'm 13DPO today, and got a bit over excited this morning and had to POAS. It was a bfn, BUT... the control line was super faint. Does that mean that maybe the stick was a little bit faulty? *crosses fingers*
