I called the hospital today and I've finally got my appointment. It's 8th September so two days after I get back from holiday. The only thing is I'm likely to have my period then so will probably end up having to cancel the appointment. Fingers crossed for another long cycle :D

I really want this to be like a reset button on all this ridiculous cycle business, and us to be in with a real shot this cycle (/month?) :o I can ask to be referred back to gynae in a month or so, but I don't want to have to be :o
    If it's heavy AF, then it's a reset button I'd say:o
    (((Hugs))), hope it passes soon:o

Recon I have IC which can be common with IBS.
    IC? (((hugs))).
It was about the instances of varicocele in men who have lower counts, and the fact that treatment (which isn't offered on the NHS but is in the USA and Israel and by some dr's privately in the UK) has had some effectivness in increasing counts.
    Interesting:think: Thanks:)

Welcome back QQ. Glad you had a lovely holiday.

Hope everyone's medical tests go well - there seem to be quite a few of you having them at the moment.

I've had a busy day today so far. First I went to the dentist (I only have to go once a year) and she did x-rays and said everything was perfect, and I mentioned some staining on my teeth from where I'd had to use corsodyl mouthwash, and she gave me a scale and polish, so I have nice pearly whites now! Yay!
Then I took DH to my manager's baby shower which was nice (I work through an agency so don't always see her as I tend to fax timesheets), and they had so many cupcakes left over that they insisted we bring some home. So we've got one each and brought another one home for MIL and her OH.
After the baby shower we went straight to the supermarket to do the food shop, then home for lunch, and I've just finished putting 2 loads of washing away and putting another one in the wash.

Think I'll have a little sit down whilst the washing is being done, as it's been non-stop all day.

Hugs to all who need or want them,

    sexymouse x

ETA I've just looked up what IC could mean, and I think it's Interstitial cystitis
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Why hello. I was thinking of doing attachment parenting. I really need to look into it more as I don't know the full extent of it. What age to you begin to seperate from the lo?

The separation begins when baby is ready although DD has gone to nursery since she was 11 months and hasn't had any problems. I'm hoping she will stop BF soon, hopefully when I get pregnant again as your milk is supposed to change.

For those worried about not having enough room in bed, we only have a double bed but that is why we have a bedside cot - basically a cot with only three sides so you just pull it up close to your own bed. Also mothers are very aware of where baby is in bed even when asleep - it's weird but I've never come anywhere near squashing DD. DD was noisy at first, she had such a small nose so when ever she got a cold it was very loud but we managed - my sister couldn't cope so her DS was moved into his own room very quickly - whatever works really - there is no point persevering with co-sleeping if it is making everyone exhausted.

Thanks emsbet - I'm going to check my letter when I get home, as I am almost sure they said something about internal - which I thought was really strange at the time! I do remember having a conversation with the Dr about whether I needed a full bladder or not. I don't remember the outome of that conversation though. Doh!

I miss you over here - but obviously very glad you are over there! Hope everything is going well, and GL for today

    << another lurker! ;)

If it's an internal you need an empty bladder - and they make you go to the toilet straight before to make sure (at least they did at my clinic). If it's external it varies, my sister needed a full bladder but at my hospital they had better/different equipment so requested an empty bladder.

    Welcome Jennynoo:wave:
How would you like to be listed on the first page?
    It'll be something like this:

    ...

    Thanks, jennynoo 31 TTC #2 since 06/11

For anyone who's interested this is my favourite parenting website which isn't purely attachment parenting - it's scientific but consistent with attachment parenting.

Thank you to all of the lovely ladies who came back to me about the scan and my eye debacle. I have DESPERATELY been trying to multiquote back and can't seem to. Can somebody please remind me (again) how to do that.

I have STILL got something in my eye, despite washing it out. I don't really know what to do now, do I leave it and try and sleep on it? My DW had a look and seems to think it is scratched, I however am not so sure!

As for the scan - it seems like there is a split between the ladies here as to whether they do it internally or not. I bet it depends on the PCT. I've just checked my letter and it definitely says "This is an Internal Scan" - and that they take picstures. I hope that means there will still be a screen that I can see?

So for those of you that have had it, have any of you been diagnosed with cysts and what does this mean with regards to your fertility? Did you need an operation to have them removed? Do they even do that?

Oh and 2522Laura my experience has been nothing short of wonderful so far (aside from the act we dont have a baby yet!) - Everybody has been SO accepting, from our DRs, to this forum, to friends, to family (We've had to enslist the help of a few friends as we have a DS - which is a long story in itself!).

We're going down the donor route, purely because we cant' afford IVF/IUI. Our first donor was a bit weird, and a few weirdos did get in touch initially and you have to sift through them - BUT our current (2nd) donor is just lovely. I know friends who have had a positive experience, with it - and friends who have had a bad time. But then - the same can be said for friends who have gone down the clinic route.

The thing that *I* personally found the most helpful, was that we have friends who have successfully conceived via the route we are going down and they were a complete fountain of knowledge. I literally went to their house for a cup of tea with a notebook and pen and asked them every question I could (DW was at work, so I had to relay it back!). I'd happily talk to your sister if they need/want any advice.
