    I don't have any advice except to say how have you managed to overcome the poas addiction?! :rotfl:

    I had mentioned not having sperm on tap! I thought that was a dead give away!! Obviously nobody reads my posts :cry:
    Ah, see, you'd be wrong. I read it and thought "oh, the fella must work away" or something...! It's really not a dead giveaway unless it's something you're looking for iyswim :)
    We're using a donor, somebody we met through a website. The only reason we are not yet going down the clinic route (which we would obviously prefer) is the cost, and we're not entitled to any funding on the NHS, as we have a child (my DW's child from previous r'ship, also a donor baby!) who lives with us.

    Complicated, much?
    I can't even fathom the complexity tbh!:shocked:
    I was telling a friend yesterday we were trying and she had assumed, we were just going to a nightclub, pointing at a man and saying 'He'll do' - and taking him home! :rotfl:
    :rotfl: Funny you say that, someone basically suggested that my (somewhat) terminally single sis do that!!
    2ba3c wrote: »
    I second how amazing supperclub is. I took my DW on a date there (it was the only time in my life, I've felt so flush) and we did spend quite a considerable amount of money there, but we were drinking bubbly too!
    Yeah the drinks were probably the more expensive part of it...really must look through those photos....

    This may make you laugh! I am well excited because yesterday I finally got a positive OPK! I am Ovulating! I didn't realise how worried I was until yesterday and want to tell the world! I was soo chuffed as I have never had a positive reading before. And feel a bit like a hen
    Anyway, I spent the evening spontaneously singing 'I've got an eegggggg!', but Mr Praline!
    Well, he spent a few minutes briefing his army on a new mission they have been in training for years apparently and now the time is 'ripe'. Their mission is to save Mistress Eggy from a short life of purgotory (we are catholic btw) and the soldier that accomplishes the mission (by liberating princess eggy) will be promoted to Major Zygote and unified for life with Princess eggy.

    I was on the floor.
    :rotfl:

    :rotfl: Haha! That made me laugh! When I got my BFP last week DH said that the winning sperm was called "Trevor" and that he'd promised the winner a tiny t-shirt with "The Sperminator" on it! :rotfl:

    Anyway just to bring the mood down and I'm sorry for TMI coming up. My bleeding turned brown and has all but stopped - still some brown when I wipe - I really thought it would last longer. I also didn't have that much cramping. Anyway I spoke to the doctor just now to see if I should cancel my appointment for early scan or not and he said that unless the bleeding started up again and I was in pain I should still go on Thursday as there's a chance it maybe ok.... Urgh! Mucho confused! There is no way I'm going to get my hopes up because it will feel like if lost the bean twice. I don't feel terribly hopeful anyway. :( I'll keep you all posted.

    Fingers crossed for you Mrs Dave

    Then I try one this evening and the line is there as bold as brass. Good to know my body is hopefully adjusting to coming off implanon.
    Yay for +OPK!:j
    CD6 here, been temping and they look as random as usual! I wake at the same time and i haven't moved...must be because I wake in the night.
    Good luck, your temps should settle in a few days:o
    I had my ovary scan Tuesday. My god I was not expecting her to press on my tummy so much...i was in 30mins lates so was desperate for a wee...it was actually a little painful! It's a shame I couldn't see the screen but my OH could. She couldn't tell me anything and said the results will be with my doctor today. I made an appointment but I can't get seen till 21st June :eek:
    21st!:eek: I hate those scans too, I always drink too much and the appt is always late:o
    After spending all afternoon and evening in pain last night, its settled back in again this afternoon so im sat with rotten cramps and pain. Im peed off as this must be ovulation pain, which I thought I had on sunday/monday when I was expecting to ovulate. So ive mucked up all my timings and have probably missed out for this month :( which isnt the end of the world but i was hoping to have a baby due on/around our 15th anniversary next March.
    It may not have been ov pain (((hugs))):o

    Me too:p I don't have DH until mid July, and my temps are still chaotic after my failed IVF, I want to see AF or at least ov soon:o
    Is anyone else using this thread as their way of talking about the whole TTC thing. No one knows what our plans.

    One of my friends was over here the other week and went to the second bathroom (where no one but guests ever go, but he hadn't seen it since we did it out) and my 'conception and fertility' book was on the floor beside the bath, and then when my grandad was over this weekend for dinner he went in my study (again, no one ever goes as the printer and most of the computery stuff etc is in hubbys study) as he was playing with the cat and she ran in there, and my tub of folic acid was merrily stood on the desk - he sat in there for 20 mins playing with the cat so he must have noticed it, but he didn't say anything if he did. Meant to post that anecdote at the weekend but MSE keeps logging me off after I write a message and press post.

    Anyhoo, I'm currently on CD13 and got a positive OPK (I've been using the digital ones because I like the smiley face!) which would be great if OH wasn't away until Monday. We did BD on Wed night, so hopefully he will have super-swimmers that last-well, he was wearing his Superman pants!
    Here's to super spermies:beer:

    Just a quick update- I'm now 11DPO. As this is my first month charting I'm not sure how long my luetal phase is going to be so I'm assuming AF will be here soon if I don't get a BFP in the meantime. Don't feel any different this month tho so I don't think I'll get a positive result.
    Fingers crossed:)
    Have taken your advice on board and started recording my temperatures on FF. Find it really good and simple to use. I've got a VIP access for the first 30 days and that seems to be good as well. As I'm a new user I'm not allowed to post with links so can't direct you to my chart at the moment. :(
    Can you post the link with spaces in? Like www. fertiltyfriend. com ?
    BB1984 wrote: »
    Well, guess what?! FF has automatically added an ov line for me - woohoo! :j Means I ov'd on CD13 which is great as it's actually normal for once! Shame we haven't BD'd at all this month so I know there's no chance whatsoever :o (I'm sure i'll still SS though, LOL!)
    Yay for ov, but:o for no BD:o

    Edit...to add the rest of what I was going to say! I 'think' I might have had MLP (like TLP but miniscule instead of tiny!) on my OPKs the lat 2 days! Will see what this afternoon's one says!!

    * 62% at 12dpo
    * 68% at 13dpo
    * 74% at 14dpo
    * 80% at 15dpo
    * 88% at 16dpo
    * 92% at 17dpo

    I feel crap today. Woke up way too early (for me) in some pain, and havne't managed to get back to sleep as yet. Hubby's out tonight too so it's gonna be a long boring day I think :(
    (((Hugs)))
    my OPK had faint line yesterday so im guessing more like today or tomorrow. anyhows we BD yesterday morning and im planning on either tonight or tomorrow morning (no romance there then)
    Keep up the romance:o
    can i just ask going over old ground - ive had headache for past couple of days and then wed night/thurs morning really horny and wet (TMI) and then today i feel really emotional - am i just over SS for OV or can these be symptoms? i know ive been trying a year but really just left it too fate but now i am trying to work out what my body is telling me
    It sounds like ov symptom. Horney + wet = ov:D
    she missed 1 pill so she says and AF hasnt arrived for her so she is testing tomorrow!! why is this all bugging me so much!!!
    (((Hugs))). Don't stress though, not good for ttc:o

    Something similar also happened to my sister, with her eldest daughter. That bean will be 12 next month!

    Maybe just tell yourself that it's no longer there, so that you don't feel like you've lost it all over again if it is gone, but then if it is still there, it will be a nice bonus. IYSWIM. I hope I said that right, and sensitively. NOt the best with words.

    I am definitely going to assume it's gone because it's going to be too hard otherwise and I'll drive myself crackers.
