It's just house things I've listed Cath. I'm keeping the baby things for now. Never know when I might need them again!
We think about 6/8 weeks until the big moving day but I guess we'll now more next week.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -

we hired and industrial de-humidifier, but only because it was slightly cheaper than buying one at the time and we only wanted to try see if it worked. I have no idea how much they are to rent or buy now but i suppose if you think you'd use it again it might be worth the hit IFYSWIM.

edited to add this is similar to what we hired... think we got a discount too as DH builder friend had an account with them.0 -
Thanks for the link Brodiebobs. I've read on here that its worth trying an industrial one for a week. I looked at HSS this morning which aren't the cheapest company anyway then I found one for £70 for the week, locally.
I'm also watching some on ebay, which have the instructions missing so they are a lot cheaper than they should be but we'll see.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Iris - i have a dem10 delonghi dehumidifier that i use all the time, cost about that much new, and i have run it for almost 3 years. It is a god send for helping to dry clothes in the winter, and it stops some of the condensation/mould problems we were having in the box room. Not eradicate, but better than it was. I'd recommend a delonghi definitely, though not sure what size you would need for what you want it to do.0

Thanks for that Michelle I was looking at a Delonghi funnily enough as I have read good reviews on them. I was thinking about Des12, just need to keep an eye out for one at a good price now.
Good news - We have knocked another 1k off the price of the house we are buying :j It's all systems go now. The H/f have said that the rate we were after has now come down so the mortgage will be even cheaper than we thought when when move :j
Other good news I got one of the free Detox your finances book from this site coming my way. It's worth a read! :j

I'm really finding it hard to catch up on here at the moment and reading peoples diaries and I'm sorry about that.:( There's just loads to do plus me and OH haven't been that well for the last 3 weeks - I think it's stress catching up with us and doing funny things. I won't go into what has happened recently but I'm deeply hurt about my sons actions and I really think I will never get over what has happened...but good news ...
I made just over £70 in ebay sales ( after the hugeeeeee fees have been taken off ) which I'm really happy about. :j Another free listing this weekend so I need get my derrière in gear and have a look whatelse I can sell if its not nailed down.. sell it!
We really wanted to put an extension on the house as soon as we moved but now unfortunately can't due to not being able to borrow more money than the house is worth. We could put a smaller deposit down but we don't want to do that as we'll then have a higher rate mortgage so we have to wait 6 months until we can borrow more money. So in the meantime we can get the plans drawn up and save as much as we can so we borrow less. We'll only struggle for space upstairs as the ground floor extension is already there. I'm sure the 6 months will pass quickly.
OH completed his online assessments yesterday as part of his new job interview ( the one he wants which is on our doorstep ) I have never seen maths so hard before, I would have given up at question 1 , it was completely over my head. He has now passed both English and Maths. tests and is now waiting for his psychometric tests to come through. It there is no right or wrong answers then how do you know if you're doing it right?? I really hope he gets this job as not only is the pay more but it will save us £££s a month in fuel and insurance as then we would only need one car. Cmon we really could do with some good news in our lives at the moment!
Wow long post..!I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Extra good luck for hubbys job, that would be fantastic wouldnt it! I really hope he gets it, sounds a hard job to get!
Sorry about your son, my eldest is being a pain too and I sometimes think he just uses me for money, he came to see me at the weekend as he was going on holiday tuesday. I didnt give him any but he got some birthday money from my mum anyway. He has become really arrogant and is ALWAYS right and it really winds me up. he completely forgot my birthday and then got me a frame that he didnt even wrap up, so felt like a spur of the moment - second thought thing. It really hurt me..
As for the house I am sure you can live without doing the extension for a few months, its just a temperary set back hun not a complete no no.
