I only like the fitted sheets. I had brand new sheets that weren't fitted, and i hated them. Luckily bought 3 for 2 from woolies. I ended up giving them to my BIL to give to his brother who was skinto. I never thought i could have made them fitted myself.
I am much further down the line now with my frugal head.

No no date yet, We still need to agree on the house we are buying. We have a builder going around next week to see how much the repairs are. I think about 8 weeks from now as we need to sort out my extension not being on the plans. That's fine by me as we pay more to the mortgage in the meantime so there's less of a bill at the end of it all.
Thanks and to your DD too. We've all been floored by it here today. I don't know how I've managed to get everything done either like cooking food and listing on ebay...but needs must.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
After reading Martins email I've paid £20 of Mr T vouchers towards my Eon G&E account, it should knock £30 off. Not that that I'm in arrears or anything as I've only been with them for 2 months but every little helps and I won't miss the vouchers as I still have a few left. E on didn't take the full months DD the first month so I'm wondering now that I'll be £30 in front if they will take the full dd monthly amount...we'll see.
Hi Iris Blue,
Thought I would just reply to this bit for you and hope I can shed a bit of light on it.
Sometimes when accounts are first set up the Direct Debit only takes for one of the fuels, ( or not the full DD amount) each month after should be correct and the full payments will be collected from the bank.
The voucher payment will show as an additional payment to the DD and credit the account.
I would wait for the bill and see how the account stands, make sure you provide your meter readings if you can so it's accurate.

Thanks Helena. That's useful to know.
I listed 5 listings on ebay yesterday - fingers crossed they all sell. They are things that won't fit in the new house and I've even put some car boot stuff on as we haven't got the time to do one and its a near impossible task to do anyway when you have no one to mind the children! I've had an offer to do a BIN on that auction which is good so I'll wait and see what price he comes back with.
I've registered for a product to review on tolunna today - so get on over there!
We had a massive clearout and moveabout at home this weekend and we need to visit the tip today and get rid of it , at least its all helping towards the move.
The Tax Office sent me a letter after I enquire if I was due anything. Nothing. At least I tried and now I know. It would have been nice to get something though!
and that is pretty much it !I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Good luck with ebay, we plan to do a carboot sale in a few weeks as it's the only Sunday DH is off and I am working in the afternoon.

Good morning!
Is it ever going to be sunny ever again? What is it with all this rain !
We was very pleased to see the Sold sign going on our house yesterday. It feels like it's all moving along now. :j:j:j
Surprisingly the builders quote on our new house has come back with £3k (inc vat ) of repairs that are a CAT 3 , meaning they are urgent. It's all mainly about the damp and that the ground level at the back of the house is higher than it should be.It needs a trench digging all around the house to improve the air flow. So , rather sneakily I've not used the words "reduce" or "negotiate" and I left it up to the EA to decide on what we should do and she thinks we should ask for £1200 off the agreed price. I was thinking £1k myself so whatever is a bonus as we want the house anyway. The plan is not to get the damp proof course done for a year but to get a dehumidifier and get some air bricks fitted as there aren't enough and some have been blocked up and do the trench .We'll then see if it improves or not. I'm hoping that it will as these seem to be causing the initial problems. Thanks for your suggestion of the dehumidifier Brodiebobs p.s Does anyone have a dehumidifier and what are your views on them ...do you think I need an industrial one or a normal one will do ?
We are planning to go and see it again soon as we've only viewed it once and I honestly can't wait as it feel like home already.
Ebay items up this week, I'm hoping for a last minute bid frenzy.
Mortgage payment is coming out today so my update will be tomorrow. We are putting a £35k deposit down on the new house so anything paid off now goes to the solicitors fees etc which is good news.
Happy weekend allI can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
Not sure where the sun has gone - will it come back? I hope so!
Hope your ebay items sell well, my attempts were quite unsuccessful last week!
Let me know if you are listing any boys stuff.
Hope the EA can haggle on your behalf and I hope you enjoy going to see it again. Any ideas when you might be moving?June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0
