LP - For buildings and contents ? It's personal choice what you go for isn't it. I won't go for the cheapest I find as I find it false economy in the long run when you have a claim so some may be horrified that its come in at £33.87 p.m for both including a new for old premium. We ( mainly I ) have expensive taste. I think you get what you pay for.
It sounds as if you and Mrs P have a REALLY big house LP. Is that it on your avatar?
We went with halifax as we wanted a smooth and easy process for buying the house but we pay £55pm so I am thinking maybe thats a little high espeically as we didn't really have anything that was particulary high in value. I think I might need to do some comparison then.
I agree its worth going for a reputable name as worse case scenario you don't want to be left homeless due to small clauses in the T&C's!
Haha, no thats our famour Lincoln Cathedral (Imagine the heating bills ). Its a nice size for our ever expanding family but the main thing for us was the location. Walking distance to the kiddies school and only 10 minutes from my work.

I always found Liv Victoria to be cheap and very good service LP. Getting cashback makes some of them very good deals.
No chain Cath. The couple we are buying from aren't really living there any more as they have split up and our buyers are FTBs in rented accomodation which they get free with work so they are going to renting mine out. The solicitor said it could be done in 5 weeks but I'll believe that when I see it.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
5 weeks that would be amazing and then you can crack on with hammering down the mortgage again0

I'd be surprised if it could be done by then but I'd go for it as I really don't want anyone backing out and us to lose money from it. I'm stressing about how much stuff we have got in the attic alone...and I know it will be me doing most of it because of DHs work hours.
Good job the house is only 1.5 miles away from here, should make it easier....now all I have to do is find 5k for fees. Hmm a tough one that.
We do want to OP as soon as we move in but I think it'll only be about £50 at first. I'm thinking of doing a spreadsheet already for it..is that mad do you think ? I like to know what's what.
DH has his second interview tomorrow, he's looking forward to that. We also have to visit the EA beforehand so that they can take copies of our mortgage agreement and stick "under Offer " all over our new house on their websiteI can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
