No news about the house - someone else was going to view tonight so I think the decision may be made this weekend.
and some good news ..DH has another interview this coming week :j and this time it should be about the actual job and not some common sense questions and group tasks ones...he'll enjoy this oneI can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
I’m hoping that today is going to another nice day so I can get some washing out and we can all get out to the park.
The work car has now had its broken spring fixed and has cost us £260 for 2 springs and a tyre. I’m annoyed as we have only just replaced two front tyres this year and its one of them that has been damaged.
I need to get DD’s cot mobile listed on ebay this weekend as it’s just been sat in a drawer as we didn’t use it for baby blue. As it’s a mamas and papas one, I may as well get some money for it.
Child benefit have wrote to me as they have overpaid me £53, I phone and asked if I could pay it over 2 months which is a little cheeky of me as we do have the money but I’d prefer it to come out of 2 of my monthly budgets instead of one so I can pay more into the ISA this month. I’m pleased I asked though instead of just paying it - If you don’t ask though you don’t get.
I’m hoping for news about the house today – I’m really hoping to get it as there doesn’t seem a right lot of choice around at the moment.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
2 £1 surveys done already.
few little surveys on tolunnnna
2 lots of washing out on the line.
clicks done
banking checked - all good
ebay write up done just need to photograph and list now
I've received a £7.50 code off a £70 shop at Mr T's so I've just placed an order with a £3 delivery slot, I'll pay the £7.50 into the ISA. I've just order bread flour and I'm shocked at the price as I had stocked up on it and now coming to the end of my supplies. A 1.5kg bag is £1.24! We're popping into Mr A's later for a curry bag for tonight so I'll check it its cheaper - I'm not paying that!
Hmm what else can I do.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -

Nooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!! That flour is only 50p in Asda - as per the DTD thread!!!!!! Can you cancel it & buy in Asda? I'm guessing DTD won't be much good for you as you've probably bought lots of Tesco offers?A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effortMortgage Balance = £0

It's ok it doesn't come until Tuesday so I can amend it. I thought it would be cheaper in Asda.
I wasn't going to do DTD as I'm ordering it and wouldn't know what's on offer / changed for that delivery day. It's risky. But if I was then I'd buy the flour from T's anyway wouldn't I ?? I'm stocking up on bogofs and bogtf's.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
ooh i hope you hear soon about the offer. We have always been daft and paid asking price naively thinking the vendors would wait for us to sell. Our first property we offered asking price 39,950 (those were the days!) and ended up paying 42,000 to the horrible nasty greedy property developer who was selling it!
Send me the link to the mobile hun, i might be interested. I sold a lot of DD stuff as i didn't think we'd have anymore at the time!June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0 -
No news yet. I'm not going to have any fingers left at this rate.
Does anyone know if they have a set time-scale in which to accept or decline the offer?I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
no idea hun but you could chase the EA. We once offered asking price on a property we knew had been offered £950 under asking price and we never heard anything! Shame really as it was £30k cheaper than our current home and although semi and not detached like ours it was a bit bigger so we wouldn't have outgrown it as quick as this. Keep on at them, not sure if there's any rules tbh, i doubt it though.June 2025 - part 1 - £19,145 part 2 - £21,973 Total - £41,118 29 months to go!0

Thanks Cath. I've phoned them and the EA said that they are still thinking about it as they are in negative equity. They're not in work tomorrow so it looks like it's going to be Monday before we know but no news is good news!
It's a gorgeous day, we're going to sit in the garden now and drink a bottle of wine. I've not had one since the new year..not like me at all.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -
