Iris - if it wasn't for my bleeding issues I would be after a 6 hour discharge or a home birth, just no need to keep the majority of mothers in there. Plus I always found it easier at home with dad here to help. Our hospital kicks dads our at 9:30pm and not allowed back until 10am because some women without partners feel uncomfortable!! The night after DD1 arrived a midwife had to take her because i literally did not have the strenght to lift her up to feed, would of ben so much easier if they had just let OH sleep on the chair in the room or aquired a little z bed thing for him. With DD2 as soon as i felt semi human I told them i was leaving and to prepare discharge papers because htere was nothing they could do that could not happen at home with less hassle and more support.
Top sounds nice, this definatly the end for being pregnant or is number 7 in your destiny? Are you all set for your viewers?
Froggy - I thought you were a woman but with your grumping about shops you sound very much like a man. I think everyone should have their gender in their siggys because I am often confused.MF aim 10th December 2020 :j:eek:MFW 2012 no86 OP 0/20000 -

Sorry LP
I am definitely a bloke (last time I checked anyway) sorry for the confusion..
Your hospital has weird policies about partners, thats a bit odd, you would expect them to accept partners so they can look & "entertain" the patients..

Froggy's a bloke!!
I dont mind shopping with OH as we just wonder about. If we spot something we like then we just buy it as we dont go clothes shopping as such. Your OH sounds very girlie and a womans woman! The TC wasnt too bad although much harder with a double pram!
LP- Our hospital is the same. So if your baby is born at night your OH gets kicked out after leaving the delivery room. Your then put on a ward with a bunch of other women who are , despite crying babies and noisy MW's, trying to sleep..your half bleeding to death and your basically left to it! On my first I had never held a baby before , never mind breast feed and I was dumped on the ward. Hence why with no2 I chose a HB.
As no6 was a breeze of a birth and he is so gorgeous we will think about no7 in 2 years or so. Age 40 is my cut of point , I dont want to give birth again much longer after that as I have felt it being older this time with 2 little ones. Is no3 the end for you?
Not ready for the viewing yet as so much cleaning to catch up on, it's tidy, just needs cleaning but I'll leave that until the Saturday morning.
I'll try and post a picture of Baby this weekend taken at 7 days old in his gear ready for shopping. He looks so grown up already!
If someone can tell me how ..to put photos on here that would be great. Step by step so a tired mum can understand it please.I can't be bothered updating this anymore0 -

LP - Thanks I'll try that over the weekend then.
small OP to declare...
£20.00
£ 3.17 TCB
= £23.17 ( I need to stop spending and make more OP's)
Total for Oct : £124.54
A bad month for op's. I spent another £100 at Nxt yesterday as I really need new clothes plus DD had her first pair of shoes from Clarks £28.(so cute) Mum is also over from France so we picked her up from liverpool last night and spent £4 on parking for 20 minutes! That annoyed me slightly as its wasted money. I really need to get back on track. Im making an extra effort for next month and I ideally want to OP £600 - how realistic that will be I dont know but we'll see.
Hope everyone else is doing better with their own op targets than I am at the mo.

Hello Iris
Glad to hear you and Rocco are doing well:) Do you have lots of old ladies come up to you when you are out with the baby, ask you what he is called and then go silent at the uncommon name? I got this all the time when I was out with my son at first.
I also got a load of new clothes after having my son. Well, I say a load, a couple of pairs of Next jeans and a few tops. I lost my baby weight really quickly, still got a bit of a belly, but I am just a totally different shape:o Plus I had a wardrobe full of work suits and going out stuff and not much casual and as I don't have a job to go back to the suits are as redundant as me!:D
Where does your Mum live in France? My Dad lives in the Dordogne, about 45 mins from Bergerac.

Hi XS,
TBH I've not really had any bad silent type response to his name...yet.. and it wouldn't really bother me if whoever didn't like it. Not much bothers me about other peoples opinions any more. What's your sons name if you don't mind me asking?
I'm not going back to work either ..well they tried to get rid of me because I went back pregnant after DD and really they succeeded as I'm not going back anyway! Do you want to be a SAHM for a while or do you plan to return?
My Mum also lives near there, Lot-et-Garonne, which is still a big area but narrows it down a little. Do you know it?
My day so far...I'm feeling a bit better today as OH did the 1:30am feed so I didnt wake until 4am but then couldnt get back to sleep ..grrr. Why is that always the case?! Im glad its friday today , not sure why as everyday is a weekend for me seeing as Im off work.
We have lots to do tomorrow as we have the viewers coming to see the house at 1:00 so fingers crossed there. Also need to nip to B&Q as my front door lock has just decided to go kaput and now we need a new one. We're currently using the back door which isnt ideal as we only have 2 keys and there's lots of us sharing those 2 keys at the moment.
We had a lovely dinner out today and I bought a bottle of wine, ended up having 2 glasses of it, but you know what it was so nice just to sit there and enjoy life and sip away. I felt like a real woman again instead of a heavily pregnant one who cant drink! I'm currently finishing it off...:)
Right well sorry for the ramble..have a nice weekend everyone
Iris

We called our son Dexter. He was always going to be Dexter from when I was first pregnant so family and friends got used to it early on. It's not that unusual really.
I will probably go back to work at some point but do not feel any urge to at the moment. It will depend on finances I think. I do not have any family locally who could watch Dexter so he would have to go to a nursery or child minders. I had quite a stressful job, with lots of time away from home so getting made redundant was a blessing in disguise as it would never have fit in with being a mum. I want something part time with no stress - like a lot of people I expect.
I am not too familiar with the area my Dad lives, I have only been once with my sister and BIL as I did not speak to my Dad for almost 20 years. We are going over next year otherwise Dexter will never get to spend much time with his grandad as he only comes back to the UK once or twice a year and we see him for an afternoon or so.Save £10,500 - £2673.77 - 25.5%

Lovely to hear your family of 8 is all doing well! You really do have your hands full!
Your trip to the Trafford Centre sounded fun - you deserve a treat after 2 years of pregancies and a necessity too - unless number 7 is planned for the near future!
