We had a horrendous first night together as he was rushed into hospital last night when we had to call an ambulance out to him. We dont really know what the cause was but we suspect some kind of blockage. I woke him for a feed at 1am as he hadn't really fed much all day although it was only 5 hours since his last one. He was sick and then all of a sudden he arched his back and head so his body was a rigid c shape, he had what we think was vomit coming all down his nose and out of his mouth. It was the scariest thing ever. I blew on his face so he would breath and turned the light on overhead to startle him..nothing so we had to call an ambulance. It was the scariest 2 minutes of our lives until he relaxed his body and breathed again. The paramedics were fab and it took 3 minutes from us calling them to them coming round. Excellant service.
We then went to hospital where he was given a one over (waste of time really as they didnt see it and dont know what it was) and we got home at 4:30am, relieved but scared to sleep. Thank god we have a baby monitor that monitors babies breathing too. The alarm sounded twice on that last night which is quite normal but after the hospital visit we slept with one eye open anyway and the alarm didnt help.
Hoping for a better night tonight !
Pay day tomorrow so hoping to be back and make a small OP
