  • Yippee!! Just managed to book over phone!! Its luck of the draw with the 'customer service' team who answer the phone and put you through, some of them are saying 'try later', some are putting you through, and even then sometimes you get the recorded 'try again later' message. Just keep trying and hold out for the recorded 'hold the line, we will be with you shortly' message, and then be prepared to queue for at least 20 minutes. Thanks and good luck everyone! xxx
  • This must be the biggest joke ever, i have been trying all morning whilst at work and no joy. I can't ring from work so will have to keep trying the useless website.

I tried to take my niece to see Santa at Harrords like year not realising you had to book three months in advance to see him. So this year thought i would try and get tickets and it's so not going to happen. If this happened last year, why haven't Harrords sorting out the website? Surely they have the money and it would save people having to call up, and the line would then just be used for people who have queries.

It looks like Selfridges, i'm kinda liking the idea of my niece visiting santa on a train, much better than a Harrords santa.

I have to admit, we did both Selfrides and Harrods last year, and Selfridges was awful, so disorganised,
The train was just a small circle that did about five or six circuits, and then we were herded and rushed through the Santa bit like we were cattle. As for the Santas outfit, it looked like it was from the poundshop.
I certainly wouldn't waste my money on them again

I cannot even get a ringing tone on the phone!

    Getting a triffled miffed now.
  • I've been trying to get through from just before 9 and I've been trying to call 0207 8938877 and the odd time that I do get through it just rings and rings until I get an automated 'there is no-one here to answer your call' Am I using the right number?????

I got through on the phone, YIPPEE!!!:T

The lady I spoke to was so sweet, I joked that she sounded remarkably cheerful considering the day she must be having, which seemed to put her "on side" straight away.
She got us the date we wanted - Dec 12th (My birthday), but apologised for not getting us our first choice time slot....I wanted fussed about the time, just SO chuffed about getting the first choice date!
I can't wait for DD to get home from school to tell her now!
    London here we come:j

That's the number I got through on. It was engaged for two hours, but I'm stubborn and kept trying, eventually I got through to customer services, who wasn't going to transfer me to the grotto at first, but she did in the end, then I was on hold for another 20+ minutes before I got through to a very helpful lady.
Keep trying - hope you get the dates you want

Just to add a different point of view..........
I have to admit that i have never been to the Harrods one, however for the last 2 years we have gone to the Selfridges one and have been really impressed :)

My Son's are only 2 and 4 though, but it had a very magical feel about it all, the staff dressed as elfs etc were great with the children and they loved the little train ride. The Santa we got was very good and probably the most authentic one i have ever seen, so we will be trying to get tickets to the Selfridges one again this year x
