I would suggest Chips Away aswell, they will usually do stuff like that for under £100.
  • These things happen... There will be no doubt more Tumbles to come and life goes on... At least shes OK!!

Couple of photos for yourself of the damage... length of scratch and a good idea of where they are on the car and if theres
any depth to them i.e dent etc and get a price or 2 of your own

Let them get their quotes and see whats what...
  • Well if if its likely to be that amount then they will be seeing it spread over 6 months as its money I simply dont have!

Whatever else you say I can not stop her from peddling fast unless(and as previously stated) I were to run along side her but then I cant stop her falling and controlling the speed of her running?? :D

Whilst I feel very sorry for you daughter it is not the neighbours fault that your daughter scratched a car that was parked in their driveway - personally I do think you should pay for the scratches to be repaired (but not an extortionate amount - 2 scratches on a punto no more than £60-80) but do ask to pay in instalments explaining that you just don't have all the money at the moment. Whilst I understand how upset you are about your daughter hurting herself especially after apologising you have to remember that the car was only purchased weeks ago and will not have been cheap (even if it is a punto LOL) and it is their property. Also maybe you should consider teaching your daughter to ride her bike in a park or your garden where she can fall onto the grass and not hurt herself so much - what would have happened if she had ridden off the pavement into the path of a car? Doesn't bear thinking about, does it? Hope everything gets sorted and your daughter is ok.

You just beat me too it.
If you can't stop your daughter riding too fast, and it's likely she can fall off again, maybe the pavement/road outside is too dangerous.
She could injure somebody else, another child, or pensioner.
  • Not willing to get into an argument about my 'so called' bad parenting.

Suggested chipsaway and she is going to Fiat tomorrow :oS
Hubby just gone to take a photo now x

  • It is your child who did the damage and therefore your place to pay up. Insist they get a few quotes and take your own photographs of the damage, get witnesses too.

Depends on neighbourly relations and the value you place on them…..

If she wants main dealer for a small scratch on a 5 year old car and refuses to budge then I’d class that as unreasonable and I’d be tempted to reassess my reasonable (but not legally required) offer to pay for the repair.
  • Hope it doesnt cost you too much but I am afraid if it was my car I would insist on a proper repair by my dealer.
