  • Hi All, i have just recieved a letter from the Court Proceedings Ltd, saying they want £345, or pay £95 now. I have ignored the first letters from UKCP on advice from a solicitor, as they have the wrong name on them + the first letter was for a parking ticket over 130 miles away, then they changed it for a local car park. Also no ticket was placed on the vehicle, they just took the number, so as far as I am concerned they can take a long walk off a short pier, glad I kept all the letters from about a year ago, they must think I would have thrown them away by now, so bring it on.................;)

    Good on you. :T

Your post (the bit in bold) shows why we advise people to safely file and keep the letters (after straightening the crumples back out from paper-aeroplane shape!).

We don't advise that anyone throws the paperwork away as PPCs have been known to try to catch people out with a letter 2 years later or even try their luck with a moneyclaim in the hope that the person has moved in the meantime.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • Thank goodness I have just found this forum! HUbby picked up a ticket at Aintree Retail Park last year for parking in a disabled bay - it was the first day UKCPS had taken over the car park and it was a wet and dark dismal night and we didn't see the signs - the manage ofr B&Q didn't even know that they had taken over his car park! I know he should not have parked in reserved disabled bays but the place was empty and he was on crutches at the time as he had just had a knee op! Anyway, we got all the nasty scary letters and I have been so close to paying so many times but the last resort was a letter today from Court Proceedings Limited with a demand for £325.00 or settle today for £95.00. I was just about to ring to make payment but then googled and found all the postings - what a scam! I have paid private parking fines in the past (for over-staying when at the cinema) so they have taken me already for enough money! I will ignore! I'm also off to Aintree Retail Park this morning and will tell the manager to advise his poor customers to look at MOneysavingexpert before falling for this scam. Thanks everyone!

You still haven't told us what PPC you work for. And what about commenting on all those cases that have been lost by PPCs?
What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?

CPS and UKCPS have connections they are called the BPA and they are a bunch of low life scamming scumbags!

    Now sue me perky :)
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?
  • How could it be considered libel? Are you saying there's something untoward about either company?

  • Oh but see the scammerspeak MAY be considered libel, MAY take legal proceedings, MAY send the boys round.
Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!
