You will NOT end up in court. The silly name is intended to make you think so but you stand more chance of winning the jackpot on the lottery than be taken to court.Still waiting for Parking Eye to send the court summons! Make my day!0

And, of course, it's not a "fine", it's an unenforceable invoice. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

If I'd got the initial fine I would have paid but the driver (there's more than one person insured to drive my car) let it get this far and are refusing to pay. I can't force them and I have no intention of paying the £95 requested by UKCPS but then say I end up in court?
Surely you wouldn't have paid? It's NOT a real fine, it's a scam like a Nigerian lottery email!
Tell me you wouldn't pay these scammers now that you have read the forums? These companies rely on threats, they don't go to court except to receive the odd drubbing! Ignore those threats and it all fizzles out with no effect on you or your credit rating.
Good on the driver refusing to pay - the only possible alleged contract on private land is against the driver, not you, so stop worrying and learn from your friend and this forum not to fall for such a scam yourself, ever.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yes, its a bit scary, largely because (like most others) you are a law abiding citizen who is uncomfortable and unfamiliar with the threat of court action. These companies operate on intimidation and harrassment and hope people will be intimidated into paying up without full knowledge of their rights. In any other sphere of life this would be regarded as bullying. I am going through the same rigmarole myself, but whenever I feel my resolve faltering, I take a look at the forums which never fail to make me feel better. Like most bullies, these companies have an intimidating front but behind them is a lot of hot air!
Good luck.0 -

That statement should be placed as a sticky at the top of this forum. It sums up the situation nicely regarding private paring tickets. I have just quoted it over on Pepipoo to somebody who's scared of a ticket they received from CP Plus. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
My partner parked my car in a disabled bay at Aintree retail park and was displaying a blue badge (his mums) at the time. A couple of weeks later I received the same letter mentioned above and have today received a letter from court proceedings limited London as above. I was considering writing to them to state the ref number of the blue badge displayed but after reading these posts I don't think I'll bother. My partner is a bit nervous as the letters keep coming but I'd love them to take me to court. It's worrying how much money must be STOLEN from law abiding people in this way :eek:0

Yet another case of the "ethical" UKCPS treating a disabled driver with disdain. I will forward this to Mobilise but they have gone silent on me and won't answer any of my emails. Do you think they are now ashamed of their association with this parking company? I have invited them to come on to here or Pepipoo and give their side of the story but, as yet, silence from them. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Hello all.
Great site and i've been looking about it a fair it.
Snippets i can find and i am fully expecting you to tell me "IGNORE!!!" but i'd like your opinions anyway if thats OK.
My car was parked at a retail park in Aintree a few months back. It was given a PCN for apparently being slightly in another bay. THe fine was issued by UKCPS and was for £60 with an increase to £100 if not paid in 14 days or so.
Any appeal had to be made AFTER paying the company. Naturally i just ignored all correspondence. As far as i am concerned i wasn't driving anyways.
Yesterday i recieved a letter from Court Proceedings LTD ( a bit cheeky with the complany name methinks) which i assume is their collection agency/partner.
Now it has the usual guff about 7 days to pay or we will lead to immediate court action blah blah, but i was wondering 2 things:
First off, anyone had any experience with these companies?
Secondly, if and i mean IF lets say it went to court and i have just ignored all correspondance from both of them, how does one go about defending themselves, or am i way too far ahead in my thinking???
Thanks very Much
Bin it my friend,I have JP.Lawyer and Barrister friends, make a paper aeroplane with it and send it into the Waste paper bin0 -
Hello everyone,
I posted here after receiving a Parking Notice Charge on 17th August.
I parked my car in the only disabled bay outside Curry's in the New Mersey Retail Park (Speke)with my disabled daughter's badge displayed. The Notice Charge was attached to my car during the 15 mins or so in the store - the reason for issue was for parking (for 5 mins) in a disabled bay with no badge displayed !?!!
I did not pay the £60
I note from other posts that this is a scam and fines are unlawful!
So then....How come UKCPS (car parking solutions)are able to obtain personal details ie names and addresses from DVLA - what about data protection?
I tell myself ignore - take the advice - ignore.
But I am still worried and it's never far from my thoughts.
One issue in all of this (for me) is the very fact that the disabled blue badge was displayed!
This morning I received my first mail from them, they now want £100.00 as it is too late to pay the reduced charge of £60.00.
I see from their letter that they are a Member of the British Parking Association (an approved Operator) a registered Bona Fida company!!!!
Should I really continue to ignore?
My eldest daughter has urged me to continue with the advice given on the site here and both she and my disabled daughter will attend court with me as witnessess should it go that far.
I appears to me that maybe the fight against UKCPS is by trying to avoid paying fines and much criticism which I don't think would bother them as they are still in existence.
The 'fight' should be at source and the company scrutinised.
As for me I have no choice but to refuse sending payment for the very fact that I parked in a disabled bay correctly, rightfully and legally.:mad:0
