You should be OK. UKCPS do take the odd person to court, so if in the unliekly event you do receievd properly authenticated court papers then post on here and on PePiPoo and there will be p[lenty of help for you. One word or warning. UKCPS monitor this forum, so be very careful what you say, especially regarding the identity of the driver.

Thanks, but I am even more twitchy now! Under what circs would the odd person get taken to court?? Is it more than likely that nothing will happen does anyone think?

You should be 99.9% OK, especially if ( I hope) you haven't told them the identity of the driver.

  • In my first letter, I did explain the circumstances leading to the ticket being issued, and who was driving, but not by name. (it wasn't me) They replied to this letter saying the ticket still stood. I then wrote to say I wasn't driving, and could prove my whereabouts at that time ( I can) and that I wouldn't be paying. They sent me a standard reply to that and another after that. Now I have received the Court Proceedings Ltd letter.....

I forgot to add that you should be very wary of receiving private messages via this forum purporting to be helping you. The management of UKCPS have been known to employ that tactic to try and glean information.

Court Proceedings Ltd act as debt collectors for UKCPS and recently held a CCA Licence No. 0638653. However, it was withdrawn on 8 March 2011 by the OFT. This most usually occurs where insufficient information has been supplied in the original application or where additional detail has been requested and this has not been supplied.

Either way CPL are currently without a CCA licence. This will mean that they will be limited to pursuing their own debts or those that are owned by the same organisation. This may (or may not, of course) reveal whether CPL are actually part of UKCPS. If they aren't then in order to pursue the debts CPL will have had to have purchased them - and be able to adduce evidence of that fact.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016). :(

For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com

It may be just a coincidence, but March 8 2011 is also the date that UKCPS took out a Debenture Bond secured on all its assets. And its accounts are three months out of date.

Court Proceedings Limited (principle officer Mr Kelly Morgan)is still without a CCA licence.

According to Companies House. UKCPS's accounts are now 4 months overdue. There appears to be only two shareholders. One is company secretary Gary Deegan (born 18/08/1956) and the other is M. Bullock. They both hold 50 shares, which makes up 100% of the shares issued.
