I've just checked it and it's slow, but it is working. Are you using the Audible link rather than the Guardian one? The Audible one (www.audible.co.uk/armandoiannucci) takes you straight there. Hope that helps.

Didnt work on my creative Muvo TX MP3, after d/l the file and transferring all 102mb of The Girl With Dragon Tattoo then it gives error message, format 4 not supported by this device. So, I downloaded and transferred to my Nokia N958GB, after installing the symbian3 version of the program here:

Still not working! I can see the file in my file manager on the phone but wont play, and when I try to play using the audible program on the N958GB- Options>Local Content>The Girl with the dragon tattoo gives me the message "error 20, unable to play", or when trying to view my library it just wont connect, giving the message "error generating activation data, please check settings and retry, full signal etc. Even looked at the website re error 20, does not help, user manual http://download.audible.com/DeviceUserGuides/NokiaS60AudiblePlayer.pdf isnt helping either as already have a working active connection....

it is really a PITA!

This sounds like a repeat of the issues that some of us had over the weekend when using Internet Explorer. It allowed you to download the first book and then caused problems with the second. Try using another browser such as Google Chrome or FireFox and it should work. Failing that, call the free audible helpline (or email them) as they are ever so helpful and will just add it to your account for you - see details in the first couple of posts.

I have had no problem downloading the books, though it is a pain to have to type in the link rather than just click on it!

You do have to download the Audible downloading tool first though.

Does anyone have the link for today's (Thursday's) book?

Link to today's book not working. I am wondering if the Guardian/audible have changed the link so have put a request on the newspaper thread asking if someone who actually has a paper copy of the Guardian could have a look and see.

Can anyone here help?

I am new to Audible downloads and can't write these to CD. I can play them okay on my PC, but only in I.Tunes - Windows Wedia Player doesn't recognise them (won't play AA format) and if I burn them to a disc from I.Tunes, it won't play back more than about a minute of the first track, even on my PC. What am I doing wrong?

Hmm, I don't seem to be able to get the last 2 today, Yes Man and Rapid French. The links just go to an audible blank page

The first ones worked perfectly, but the Yes Man and Rapid French links just take me to a blank page too.

Btw, there are other free downloads on the Audible site too, various samples and lots of podcast type interviews with people, eg Michael Palin, which may be interesting.
Any help with getting the last 2 downloads would be appreciated, Yes Man sounds good and Rapid French would be useful for my 12 yr old I think. Thanks.
