What questions do they raise? I've skimmed, and can't find anything within them that suggests any excessive salary is paid to Ms Butler in her role as 'Manager', and apart from the accounts being filed late......
Under staff costs - £34,839 has been spent.
This could be for a number of staff and also includes tax and NI.
Interesting that one of the trustees 'Conrad Levy' has also set up a new charity called Fair Trials International with these objectives:
5.1.1 TO PROMOTE THE SOUND ADMINISTRATION OF THE LAW BY PROVIDING OR ASSISTING IN THE
PROVISION OF LEGAL ADVICE AND REPRESENTATION TO CITIZENS OF THE EUROPEAN UNION WHO
HAVE BEEN CHARGED WITH OR ACCUSED OF CRIMINAL ACTS AND WHO ARE IN NEED AND WHO
ALLEGE THAT THERE HAS BEEN A FAILURE TO COMPLY WITH THE DUE PROCESS OF LAW IN THE
COUNTRY CONCERNED.
DUE PROCESS OF LAW SHALL MEAN:
(A) THE DOMESTIC LAW OF THE COUNTRY CONCERNED INCLUDING INTERNATIONAL TREATY
OBLIGATIONS WHERE THOSE OBLIGATIONS GIVE RISE TO JUSTIFIABLE RIGHTS
RECOGNISED IN THAT COUNTRY;
(B) RECOGNISED OR CUSTOMARY PRACTICES FOLLOWED IN THE COUNTRY CONCERNED;
5.1.2 TO PROMOTE EDUCATION IN AND CONDUCT RESEARCH INTO THE SOUND ADMINISTRATION OF THE
LAW MAKING THE USEFUL RESULTS OF SUCH RESEARCH AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC.
Quite convenient.0 -
bah - I hate that I find that conrad quite attractive LMAO
I give up - you can't tell them. Their statement was underwhelming at best. I thought there'd be astonishing revelations that it wasn't an AST but in fact a holiday let and we'd all be in the wrong.
Shameful. Utterly shameful the lot of them (and MSE for deleting our thread. That thread was used by 1 thoroughly qualified lady in tenant law (Tessa) and Nearly Legal team).
Many a Joe Bloggs has come here for advice and sometimes slammed for doing things wrong but still told how to do them right (or pointed in direction of ppl who definately can). If Tessa and the Nearly Legal team can find us giving GOOD advice then why didn't Ms Butler google for advice before renting her house out to a TENANT!
Extremely frustrated. Admittedly probably a bit too distressed by it now.
Hope they get the book thrown at them!Inside this body lays one of a skinny woman
but I can usually shut her up with chocolate!
When I thank a post in a thread I've not posted in,
it means that I agree with that post and have nothing further to add.

I think the staff costs could easily be £14K to her and two people on, say, 25 hour contracts for 10k
Fair Trials International isn't Conrad Levy's, is it?
I'm sure its a long established thing.0 -

It was called Fair Trials Abroad since 2000 and recently (march 2010/jan 2010 ) changed.0 -

I think FB is rubbish.
Don't understand why so many people use it.0 -

TBH the fact the old thread was being quoted on 2 legal blog sites is brilliant & the way nearlylegal has put GMTV on the naughty step as a result, fantastic achievement.

Well i go to work and come home to find THE thread has gone!
I was looking forward to the latest developments, oh well.
I did actually wonder to myself about the Martin GMTV thing but I know what has happened and more to the point who caused it.....
Enter Wee Willey and face the music please.
I told you not to mention 'he who shall not be named' - no good will ever come from uttering his name.
You've well and truly gone and done it now!
