Will Ryanair Stop Me From Boarding If My Hand Luggage Dimensions Are Slightly Over??
Comments
-
When I ordered my trolley it was said it is within the dimensions stated by Ryanair. Unfortunately, I have the same problem as so many other that with the wheels it is just a big bigger. However, I can squeeze it easily to less than 20cm. I am wondering if Ryanair lets me through if I have to squeeze it in or does it need to fit in easily?
I have even heard that some airports are using cardboxes, so there would be nothing with squeezing

How difficult can it be?
Stick to the size & weight allowed and you won't have a problem (unless you fly with the baby that is!!!)0 -
I always use the Sports Direct case which is perfect for Ryanair, it fits their cage thing perfectly.
But I was worried last time as a rumour swept along the queue that they were WEIGHING the bags too. The maximum weight is 10kg and mine was definitely a bit over. To be on the safe side I took a jacket out of the case and put it on. They were in fact weighing cases randomly but didn't bother with mine, but this was the first time I'd seen them do that.
Which bag did you get there seems to be different versions:

I bought the 20" case from Sportsdirect and on the label it stated 51cm x 34.5cm x 19cm. When I got home it measured 58cm high. Took off the top handle to get it to 55cm. The wheels stick out a bit as well, taking the depth to about 22cm when the case is packed. Might remove wheels when using on Ryanair etc. Width is ok at 35cm. Stated weight is 3.1kg but only weighed 2kg.0
