Will Ryanair Stop Me From Boarding If My Hand Luggage Dimensions Are Slightly Over??

If it's size rather than weight you're worried about just leave it outside for a couple of hours. The rain will make it shrink or as an alternative take out all of the things you don't need and use a smaller bag. Works for me - NEXT!0

I always use the Sports Direct case which is perfect for Ryanair, it fits their cage thing perfectly.
But I was worried last time as a rumour swept along the queue that they were WEIGHING the bags too. The maximum weight is 10kg and mine was definitely a bit over. To be on the safe side I took a jacket out of the case and put it on. They were in fact weighing cases randomly but didn't bother with mine, but this was the first time I'd seen them do that.0 -
At Malaga on Monday they were weighing random cases, they chose from about every 6th person regardless of the size of the case.0

In a quandry now, off to Ibiza from Bournemouth on Tuesday with just hand luggage which I assumed would be fine but having read this thread and just measured carefully the cases are 21cm in depth taking into account the wheels
I assume the cages they use to check the dimensions would take a small nuclear explosion to make them move so little chance of 'forcing' it in.
Is it right to assume 1 cm too big might as well be 1 metre?0 -
so the concensus seems to be dont risk it, so where can i buy a cheap yet correct dimensional hand luggage bag???
well simple answer is to write down the dimensions and try places that sell luggage eg supermarkets, matalan,
ive given you a few hints there and im sure you can think of more yourself0 -
Poitiers to Stansted flight 25th August, Ryanair, they weighed ALL the handluggage but did not put any into the adjacent measuring cage. About half of the bags were too big in my view.0

I flew Ryanair back from Spain late last night and we were late boarding because the plane wasnt in when we were in the boarding queue. There were people who had actual cases with them that wouldnt have fitted into the baggage measurement thingy and not one person was stopped with them as they were more concerned about losing there take off slot than size of baggage. Its just luck really whether you can get away with it or not.0
