    Hi Taffy

after reading this thread it appears you have no idea what you are going on about.. can you fill us all in with more words of your wisdom please.

Really, now you are going to enlighten us with your words of wisdom, and i'm giving my opinion, how about you actually saying something in regards to this, or you just being a troll ?
Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?

What's with the 'us'? I understand and agree with what taffy has posted.

You are the only devil's advocate here, had you not noticed?

We shall see who is right if the OP updates us in due course. My bet is the admin fee will not be pursued beyond a toothless debt collector letter or two, since that part is a civil 'debt' (alleged).
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You are going to have people taking a dig at these people, because of the fact they are making commission out of each pfn issued, where its in their interest to profit out of it you are not going to get a common sense approach imo

I also question a body that is supposed to be independent that you appeal too, which in fact is owned and run and paid for by a railway company, how can that be independent ? Really its the network looking after itself, wonder if a foi request would be allowed and if they would reveal how many appeals they have had, and how many were successful ?

I do think the incentivisation element in some contracts is rather reprehensible as it virtually removes any element of discretion involved.

Geordieracer, whilst I understand and agree with what you have said, the only part I have got an issue with is that I can't remember seeing anywhere amongst the railway acts/bylaws that state 'an admin charge is enforceable'

I may have missed this and are more than happy to be corrected, but if the bylaws don't support this, then it becomes a civil debt, which could easily be challenged in court.
I appreciate that this thread seems to have run its cause now, but I feel the urge to reply to it. Okay, the enforcement relating to this would be under the railway Byelaws, and would be the charge to answer to in this case. You are correct that the fees are only enforceable in a civil manner, but it wouldn't be the non-payment of those, or even the Penalty Fare (not a fine, by the way ;)) that would be enforced, instead, said Penalty Fare would be cancelled, and the individual would be reported under railway byelaws and possibly summonsed to a Magistrate's Court. Given that this individual was only 15-years old, unless very persistant, it would be unlikely she'd be summonsed to a youth court.
  • I just wish in threads like this that the OP comes back and tells us what they did, you know a nice bit of closure ie; Sorry all but paid the fees in the end or Told Nexus to ram it and haven't heard back from them!

  • Hi all,

sorry I have not been on here for a while but I have been busking down at the train station in preparation for my court appearance. :j

Anyhow, I have not made very much so far maybe I should turn my mike off :rotfl:

I have still not heard anything from IRCAS so far and do not expect to? Maybe there satisifed with their £20 fine and are starting to feel in a festive mood? :D

Geordiracer really needs to get out a bit more, just not too much. Also, I dont usually pee on any pots cos i prefer to stand up.

Still no news is good news as far as I am concerned, just watch a letter land on my mat in the next few days.

Thanks for all the postings but it does go to demonstrate that there are some people in the wrong jobs who would be more suited in Russia or somewhere else.

    Cheers me dears

Will let you know if anything happens.
  • Thanx for taking the time to post macthemountie

IMHO i would be surprised if you don't hear anything back, IRCAS need to have closure with this, so I do think you will get a letter back sometime.

As to your busking, If your daughter sings better than you take her along as well so that she pays you back the loan you gave her. :rotfl:
