Oh nooooo! The food pics you have all posted look so yummy!
I need another cookery book like I need a hole in the head, but as the price is now £3.74 on Amazon, I just cannot resist this one.My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead

stressedoutmumof1 wrote: »Hi everyone
I bought this book a couple of weeks ago, and so far I have made:
Big Mac
Quarter Pounder with Cheese
Sausage and Egg Muffins
Chilli Chicken Chow Mein
Vanilla Milkshake
and I have been impressed - especially the muffins
I was wondering whether someone would be kind enough to PM me the ingredients for the sweet and sour chicken balls and egg fried rice, as I'm at work at the mo, and my books at home, and I really fancy these for tea tonight, and need to see if I need to buy anything extra!
Thanks in advance
Have PM'd you0 -
I need to go out and get white vinegar and soy sauce for the sweet and sour. I think I'll get rice wine vinegar too - does mr Ts or Sainsburys sell it? Although I need white vinegar to put through my washing machine too!Sealed Pot Challenge #817 £50 banked0

Hi guys. I was a member of the forum a while ago and cant remember the sign up details so I started again lol. I just ordered this book yesterday and cant wait for it to arrive. I have a catering background and a few similar books to this. For those of you interested in the Mac d's recipes I followed the recipes for the burgers on this site and they were very close to the real thing epicconstructions. com/mirror/mcd/.
For KFC lovers this forum has some good recipes but it does take a bit of digging around. The recipe I use from that forum is near identical to KFC kfc.forumup.co. uk/index.php?mforum=kfc. If anybody cant be bothered to dig around that forum then I will post the recipe I use here.
I will be trying the kebabs first. I always wanted to know how to make the chilli and garlic sauce.
Sorry I had to disect the links as I am a new poster and cant post links0 -
missjennipenni - your sweet n sour chicken looks fab, I can't wait to make that now as it's my favourite from Chinese. I'm doing the buffalo wings later.0

Just as a warning, I used 2 chicken breats for the sweet & sour balls, and that was far too much for 2 people! I have enough leftovers to feed all 3 of my kids tonight. I think 1 chicken breast would be plenty for 2, and too much for one person.0

has anyone tried the kfc recipe, everyone is going on about the kebab and muffins but not much other stuff has been mentioned, what other recipies are there?
it's available in from nottinghamshire library services, for anyone who's interested. mentioned about getting it (reserved) to my OH but he poo-poohed the idea as he got so used to my 'proper' homecooked meals as opposed to take away meals...:o.
but there are times when i could murder a KFC. I've tried a few southern fried chicken recipes, but none seem to hit the mark. is the book recipe the real deal then, or thereabouts? i luuurrrrvvve KFC's gravy:D anyone has the recipe, pretty :ppls?0
