Overall, I liked this book but I thought the curry sauce was overly complicated. I've gotten just as good results without it.

    Made the donner last week.

Just an FYI for those who are time restricted, as the usual recipe takes over an hour to cook. You can split the uncooked meat and herb mix make them into a 4 sausage shapes and put onto skewers. Fry them on a griddle or pan and they are just as lovely but cooked in 10 mins!

I've also made the donner in the slow cooker. I put in about 3 very large thinly sliced onions in the bottom then pop the lamb on the top of the onions. Cooked for 3-4hrs on high, it comes out really juicy

That sounds like a good idea. I made the recipe and it tasted OK but was a bit dry

I have got the book but haven't tried the pita bread, however I have used this recipe and they have always been very successful

The two recipes do have slightly different ingredients but seem to work on a similar basis :D
