I think NBC must stand for Non Brewed Condiment and is a vinegar substitute.0

I presume you never eat takeway fish and chips? Most chippies use NBC as its cheaper than real vinegar.
I had three so I suppose that gives me a slight edge !
Any good chippy would not entertain this rubbish in the shop , after all why would you place a Petroleum derivative on your food ? you ever seen the black sludge left over after refining oil for petrol ? well that's the stuff your drizzling on your food ):
Total Chemical Rubbish !

Anyone got any good ideas where to get lamb mince for making the donnar kebabs? I used to buy the Tesco value lamb mince, but they seem to have discontinued it. I'm sure when we used more expensive, less fatty mince, it was drier.

Yes, lamb mince for things like curries, kebabs, samosas etc is normally better with a good bit of fat in there. It all melts away and can be poured off at the end, but it really helps with moistness. I'm sure one of the big supermarkets must still do a cheapy one, but if not, an Asian butchers will definitely sort it out for you cheaply and also a general high street butchers will mince up the cheapest cut of lamb they have for you if you ask.0

Thought I would bump this thread for those who have never tried making their own lamb doner kebabs!
I haven't made them for 12 months so this will also be a reminder to myself to make some again.0 -

Don't forget, the cheapest place for fresh minced lamb is Lidl.
I think it is still about £2.50 (ish) for 500g.0
