Noticed today that they sell chilli sauce and garlic mayo in the 99p store, huge plastic squeezy bottles (just like in the kebab shop), anyone tried them?

Homemade garlic Mayo is so easy & to die for.

Mix a finely chopped glove of garlic in 2 heaped tablespoons of Mayo ( not reduced fat ) serves two .:j

Looking forward very much to the donner meat. I have been looking for the sauces for ages, and know they dont sell them in Makro, etc but will find a B&M somewhere.

The doner is cooking as we speak and the chilli sauce is made. If it tastes as good as it smells I will be right chuffed. Anything else I need to know before I dig in?

They were lovely, needed a touch more hot sauce so added that as a dipping sauce next to the blue cheese dip( not included in recipe)wingz.jpg

    My book arrived today

I'm staring at the bunch of bananas in my fruit bowl, willing them to ripen so I can make banana muffins.

Not that I'm impatient or anything... :o
My first reply was witty and intellectual but I lost it so you got this one instead :D

I've prepared my sausage patties for tomorrow mornings breakfast. I used a very small amount of sage. I also used my so far never taken out of the box mini burger maker. They turned out very well.

  • I made the chicken satay last night and it was delicious, the family loved it and I would recommend it to anyone. The satay sauce was superb. It was the first recipe I've tried from the book, donor kebab next! I've gathered together all the herbs & spices now so looking forward to more tasty meals.

I have made two lots and although the first batch of bananas were ripe ie a couple of brown spots on and the muffins were lovely, the second batch were far tastier. I had let the bananas ripen a lot more so they were covered in brown spots, not just the odd one or two.

I will def leave them longer when I do them again.

    ;)
