the book was written by an american dude who didn't leave his house for ages, the recipies are all "americanised" and after cooking quite a few of them they seem overcomplicated and not very like the takeaway food we eat over here, although the burger sauce was luverly

    What?

Are you sure you have read the same book as the rest of us?

I am sure he isn't American, I don't view the recipes as ' Americanised ' and the ones that I have made did not seem overcomplicated to me. ;)

The Lamb Doner Kebab and the American Sausage Muffin are exactly like take away food here if not better.

Well that is what I thought too but I couldn't be bothered going into the kitchen to grab my book.

    :D

lamb donner kebab was lovely, sausage and egg muffin to die for, chicken nuggets very tasty but not like the 'double arches', just had the kebab shop garlic bread and that was fab wish I had remembered mozarella though! and spare ribs are in the oven as I type.

Love the book and was thinking how easy all the recipes were, once you have bought the initial spices you are sorted

I finally got myself in gear & cooked for me & my bf today. I made the macaroni cheese for main and the easy chocolate cheeseake- both were very simple to make (NB that's not why I made them he actually asked for macaroni cheese! But it's definitely helped inspire me to try something else from the book next weekend).

    A roaring result!!
