Hi,
I am making the lamb donar kebab for the first time tonight, and was going through the recipe again.
How did everyone turn it half way? Did you tip the meat out of the tin and then cook on the other side?
ThanksI would like to be able to admire a man’s opinions as I would his dog - without being expected to take it home with me."

Mine arrived today bought from Amazon with redeemed survey vouchers (of course!).
I've just made the Tarka Dahl which I'm scoffing as I type. I had to use Panch Phoran a mix of Indian spices as I didn't have exactly the ones specified, blended my own garlic and ginger paste (as I didn't have any ready made) and it is delicious just with plain basmati rice.
I quadrupled the dahl recipe to have some for later in the week and found it came out a bit too watery, so I scooped out some of the liquid, later adding back a couple of tablespoons of it when it began to stick to the bottom of the pan, just FYI in case anyone cooks more than the 1-2 portions.
if you do take a wander in here Kenny - great book and I look forward to trying out lots of the other recipes :T and thanks Merlin1 for the recommendation0 -

thanks for all the replies re the coconut powder
I ended up blitzing some dessicated coconut but whilst it was lovely I personally felt it was a bit too sweet? might try adding a bit more chilli powder next time, I dont actually like curries HOT but this was more korma'ish. lovely all the same though;)0
