Hi, can anyone let me know which of the best known fast food recipies are in this book please?0

I havent tried it - I am sure someone else said the exact same as you somewhere back at the beginning of the thread and it put me offi think a few people have found the same as you. I know we didnt enjoy it either when i made it.
At least I know it's not just me being fussy. :rotfl:
I did wonder, when I saw the [lack of] ingredients, but thought I'd try it anyway. No harm done, it was easily rescued.
Forgot to say, I tried the fritters and they were fab. Mind you, I had nothing to compare them to as I've never tried fritters before.
p.s. Kenny, if you're reading this, call yourself a Scotsman? Where's the recipe for Deep Fried Mars Bars *boak* ?:D0 -
Also made the Fillet of Fish burger but the coating didn't really turn out too well so was just like a piece of fish in a bun really... not horrible, just not like McD's
I did the fillet of fish burger, potato wedges and the kfc chicken the other week. I am a pectarian and no longer eat at McD's anymore (since I found out they cook the fish with the chicken and the oil for chips is not guaranteed to be suitable for vegetarians). Anyway, the fillet of fish I found really nice. Like you said the coating is not the same as a proper one, but I think it did taste as good if not better than the proper thing.
The chicken, my OH and DS said it was really tasty but not quite the same as kfc. The wedges well they wouldn't brown at all (think I used maris pipers) but they were quite tasty.
I really want to try doing the donner for OH and DS (if I can stand the handling of the meat lol!) as they are convinced that it can't be anywhere as nice as the ones from a takeaway.0 -

Could you use a couple of sandwich bags over your hands? That's of course assuming it's physical issue, not moral.0 -

Buy some new rubber gloves or put the meat in a plastic bag and mix it with the spices that way.0 -
