I've bought this for DSs girlfriend (18 yo and living independently) and am now making up a hamper with oven gloves, tea towels, apron, herbs and spices, a couple of bottles of sauce and a few kitchen implements. Hopefully she'll appreciate it (rather than the usual toiletries and slippers).somewhere between Heaven and Woolworth's0

I made the bolognaise recipe the other night, was a bit disturbed that it didn't use garlic (my staple ingredient) so had a wee taste and it was awfully bland.
I tweeked it a bit - garlic & herbs, and it was nice but not as nice as my usual recipe.
Has anyone else tried this recipe and finds it works?
I havent tried it - I am sure someone else said the exact same as you somewhere back at the beginning of the thread and it put me off

Many thanks for this OP - yes, you should've been on commission! I've just bought two copies - one for us and one for my sister. Hopefully we'll save a fortune by cooking these ourselves, and we'll be debt-free that much sooner! Hope the recipes are quick and easy to make...0
