Thanks Morph3us TBH he loves all takeaways but what I'd like to do is give him the spices he might not have in the cupboard. I know he orders a lot of Indian and Chinese so perhaps a list of those spices (not recipe, just herbs)? Thanks

fenugreek leaves

This thread is so full of praise it makes me wish I liked fast food so I could use the recipes! I do love chicken fillets coated in flour and shallow fried, so maybe I'll try the Guardian kfc flour recipe.
Is there a recipe in the book for big macs or mcD milk shakes? Is it easy/good? Would definitely be worth getting the book to do those for OH.Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

I LOVE this book and bought two by mistake so gave one to my daughter - and most of her friends have now bought it after sampling the donner! its worth the money if you only like one or two takeaways!!!!!!!!!!!!!
btw - my SIL says the chicken pakora is actually BETTER than the local takeaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0 -
I have made the Sausage for the muffins tomorrow morning. Doesn't seem to smell as spicy as the maccy D's ones taste, dont really smell of anything.
They deffo come out ok??
I got a 500g pack of prok mince so that is 9 portions, I used 3 teaspoons of Sage and 2 light brown sugar - 9 pinches of Salt and Pepper.
Should be ok?
Also going to make the Tandoori Chicken tomorrow night for when we get back from the pub. Does the chicken have to be skinless, I know its healthier.0 -

When I made mine, I didn't have the brown sugar or the sage so literally just used pork and salt n pepa....
They tasted exactly like McD's ones so I don't think you need worry..... I don't really know what you mean about the McD's ones smelling "spicy"... i've never noticed it.0 -
Right finally attempted to make something from this book! I chose the chocolate chip cookies, the dough is currently chilling in the fridge and will be baking them around 9:15pm
will take a photo when they are done.
Only thing is, it says what temp to cook them at and for how long, but doesn't say what to put them on?? I'm guessing a floured baking tray??
I did a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of milk and white choc chips£2 Savers Club 2011 (putting towards a deposit) - £588

I would say a greased baking tray rather than a floured one.0
