  • Hello

Recipe states you need brown sugar as well as caster (although I subbed both for granulated and they turned out fine!), vanilla extract and a pinch of salt. Hope that helps.

Hi elf06, I'm confused. I've marinated the chicken, ready to cook for tonight, but are you then going to put it in a sauce or something?

I've given in and ordered a copy. You are all making these recipes sound delicious. I don't even have the excuse of trying to save money. We don't buy takeaways :rotfl:

I had already made the chicken tikka and then made the sauce yesterday when I saw your post. Hubby didn't fancy the sauce so we went for the tikka - it was lovely. The only thing was that a bit of liquid came off the chicken but we just drained it off. I made the yoghurt sauce and that was really delicious. I didn't have any ambchoor, which according to the book is dried soured mango, but I didn't feel it needed it and probably wouldn't go to the bother of buying it unless lots of people here jump in and say it makes a massive difference!

I now have sauce which I can use up during the week and put in the freezer. :T

Might be worth posting what you think his favourite recipes would be so people can list ingredients for those recipes. Otherwise it would take all week to recommend ingredients for every recipe in the book.

Thanks Morph3us TBH he loves all takeaways but what I'd like to do is give him the spices he might not have in the cupboard. I know he orders a lot of Indian and Chinese so perhaps a list of those spices (not recipe, just herbs)? Thanks

I have made the Sausage for the muffins tomorrow morning. Doesn't seem to smell as spicy as the maccy D's ones taste, dont really smell of anything.

    They deffo come out ok??

I got a 500g pack of prok mince so that is 9 portions, I used 3 teaspoons of Sage and 2 light brown sugar - 9 pinches of Salt and Pepper.

    Should be ok?
