However, some are also carried out by clerks. The medical training they received was specifically for using the computer program. (I know someone who worked for Atos in this capacity until the work became too distasteful).
The medicals are NOT carried out by clerks.0 -
In any case has this happened to any other members where the medical has not awarded any points and effectivly found you 100% fighting fit?.
Yep, me too!! Had my medical early Jan 10, appealed and been told hearing will not be this side of Christmas!!
Been to the JC+ to look for work (as they said I was fit) but no luck - was told that I am too ill to work!!!
So this week I have jacked the whole thing in and started again with a new claim - condition has got worse (cancelled the appeal) - hoping that this time round ATOS will get it right!!!0 -
I can only state what I have been told by someone I have every reason to believe. The person I know was an IT teacher, with absolutely no medical training whatsoever. They eventually left the company because they were being coerced into passing people as medically fit for work when they were clearly not - just to keep numbers up.
My own personal concern is that a physio cannot accurately assess me. I have a number of conditions, the main one being ASD. It would be much fairer if my specialist (who knows me and my condition) could be believed when he says I am unfit for work.0 -

Hearsay is never a good source of information.
You seem to have a very narrow view of physiotherapists. You may not realise that physios can have knowledge (and indeed expertise) in all areas of medicine, including mental health and neurological conditions.Gone ... or have I?0 -
I recall having posted on the medical at the time so I checked my post history and recalled a few things after finding an old post.
I originally posted of a concern of the "doctor" being capable of doing the medical as I had a lot of trouble understanding what he was saying. I also posted at the time that I was asked to look at some of the questions on the screen (because I could not understand a some of what he was saying) and choose which answer best suited the question for me, this was the case ofe a number of questions.
So from that point of view I know 100% on my life that at least 3 or 4 questions I seen the answer being clicked and inputted by the so called doctor.
So that leaves the question why have at least the questions I seen the answers being input into the computer by the doctor not returned the points that they obvioiusly should?.
Is it possable the doctors can edit the answers after originally doing the medical after I leave the room if atos are expected to fail a certain number?. Is it possable for the medical to have been done afresh by someone else if there is an expected fail rate to meet targets?.
Because of seeing some of the answers being input into the computer that would have 100% have given me points, I find it therefor stange how it's took about 3 months before the papers were returned to the decision lot and a futher 3 weeks or more to look at the report and inform me of what points I would be awarded. Should have been a lot quicker if I really did get 0 points as there would be nothing to sort or look through?0 -

Forget the conspiracy theories, they are not true and going down that route will get you nowhere. If you wish to appeal then do so, but unless you have solid proof of maladministration, base it only on your incapacity to work.Gone ... or have I?0 -

But either I'm lying (and I'll happily swear on my 3 year old daughters life I'm not) or the answers have been edited\altered or the decision makers got no report and therefor failed me on everything by default.
Sure, no concrete proof except what I repoted happened on this very board 2 1/2 months ago.0 -

So you request the report, and address the information in it to demonstrate that you are not fit for work. That is all the Tribunal/ DM who looks at the reconsideration request are interested in. Suggestion of conspiracy theories will just detract from the relevant information.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Look, not so much a suggestion of a conspiracy (as that word detracts from what I asked). I was asking can the questions be altered after the doctor completes it on the computer and I've left the room. Can a fresh 1 be drawn up if it's fealt the original doctor made mistakes with a medical. And if the decision makers never got the report (which is what I'd like to have thought happened btw) or got an incomplete report, would I have beed failed on all point as they would not have a complete report to look at. In fact what does happen if the desicion makers get no report?.0 -

The DM will not make a decision without the report. A report can be added to/ edited after you have left the room, and often would be - they do not have to complete it in front of you. A fresh report would not be done without you being called for a new medical.Gone ... or have I?0
