IB failed medical, they are taking the mick big time!!!

After about 3 1/2 months I'm finally had my expected to have failed (not expected health wise but experience with atos wise) letter from the job centre. Well I knew friday as I never got paid but the poorest quality paper (that I have ever received from them) with info arrived unsigned at the bottom of the letter this afternoon.
The results of what points they have awarded is taking the p!$s more than with any other person I've ever known or read about on here.
They have awarded me the grand total of wait for it, 0 points. Yep it's took 3 1/2 months after the medical to look at what the doctor had reported back from the medical. Every single comment is listed as "no problems" and listed me as not having a single problem health wise. The report funny enough by whats been ticked and classed as no problems by default must class me as 1 of the most trouble free people in the country health wise!. Thought it funny how they would not discuss the report over the phone friday afternoon!.
Obviously I'm putting an appeal in as at the very worse I should have got several point more than needed. Little point in going into medical\health issues. But I was examined as some length physically and there was no mention of that in the report.
Also as a point of interest the date they say I had the medical was 27th may 10. As far as I recall it was at the start of the month, but I'll have to see if I can find a letter with the medical date on to be 100% sure.
In any case has this happened to any other members where the medical has not awarded any points and effectivly found you 100% fighting fit?.

You are not alone! Sadly, many people are given ) points by these incompetents. The chances are that the person you saw was not a 'doctor'. Not even a nurse. They take clerks and give them some really basic training. The system is disgusting! We really need to have specialists doing the examinations!
For now, you need to appeal. You can get free help from DIAL or the CAB. (I have found DIAL to be amazingly helpful - and always honest)

Yes, some people do receive zero points for the PCA. Did you have a more specific question? If you need help appealing, you can contact CAB, DIAL, Welfare Rights etc.Gone ... or have I?0

I'd love the "doctors" copy of the report but doubt they will provide it unless my appeal fails and it goes to a tribunal.0

The medicals are carried out by Doctors and Health Care Professionals.
They are not carried out by clerks.0 -
From your historic posts, it seems you have been on incapacity related benefits for around 4 years.
Remember that there has been a sea-change in how claimants are now assessed under ESA, compared to their original assessments when the claimant was on IB. This way, capability is focussed on so it is much more stringent than under IB and is clearly designed to port more back into employment.
Here are some statistics around ESA fail/pass rates, including appeals which finds most ESA claimants are classified as required to seek work and the majority of appeals fail.

The OP has been assessed under the IB rules which have not changed.0 -

Some of the examinations are no doubt carried out by doctors.
However, some are also carried out by clerks. The medical training they received was specifically for using the computer program. (I know someone who worked for Atos in this capacity until the work became too distasteful).0 -

Sorry Prinzessilein, you are wrong. Some of the examiners are not doctors, but they will be medical professionals - either nurses, physios etc.Gone ... or have I?0
