The PCA discriptors used are stated on the IB65 disallowance letter sent by JCP, and are here-
    http://www.disabilityalliance.org/f25.htm

The ATOS HCP will use their clinical judgement and skilful questioning to complete the examination. The HCP will not simply ask the questions relating to the Phyisical or Mental Heath discriptors, otherwise people will simply repeat them 'parrot fashion' and answer "yes, no, no, yes, yes, no, yes, yes, no, no"etc.........to score enough points. ATOS, nor JCP aren't that stupid.

For example, the HCP will not follow you to see if you can/cannot walk 200m, but will instead ask you 'How did you get to the examination today?' You may answer ' by bus/train', and don't you think the HCP will know that the local bus/train station/stop is X metres away- result -question answered.

ATOS won the contract for my NHS trust occyhealth, a return to work "interview" consists of answering questions over the phone, the person asking the questions was, in a few cases that I know of, merely a customer representative of some kind, which when you consider that the people being asked the question swhere HCPs it just shows that ATOS will do what they want to get the job done as cheaply as possible, as the old saying goes, " pay peanuts, get a monkey", and to think they won the tender instead of Kings College (since relocated to SE1) in south london, where the staff are both competent and knowledgable, but most importantly they see you face to face, check your BP etc, discuss your problems in a way only a professional can, thankfully ATOS are apparently not getting their contract renewed.

Is that skillfull questioning used by doctors as in when they talk to you in a way where you have to ask them to repeat questions a number of times because it's hard to understand?.

And as for your example of "how did you get here" question being a basis for having the doctor thinking your probably lieing for most of the questions if they feel your being deceptive means they will never pass anyone. Yes I got the bus there but a 3 min walk from home end to a 2 min walk the other end would not suggest I'd be lieing about other mobility questions if I said I had trouble walking or climbing stairs, or any questions.

Not all health issue are visable. And whilst a person might be able to walk a few mins to the bus stop does not mean they can walk stairs without issues, hold items without droping or has no breathing problems. Not all health issues are visable yet atos seem to think they are alowed to judge that by having you sit there for 25 mins.

The worst part is when they ask you about other health matters, the point of this being? seeing as there is no section on the medical questionaire to make note of this. As is there no point in taking any notes fron propper medical people like your own doctor who does know your condition as that to is ignored as there is no section again to deal with that.

What is a 'Health Care Professional"? I ask because I've have heard hospital clerks describe themselves as just that. Others also use that term. I suspect they like to pose as doctors or nurses. Dieticians are a good example of the breed.

Dieticians are health care professionals, all with a degree.

Might this not be your problem rather than theirs?

Standard question by Ambobod to punter, that says they can't walk due to some strange imaginary medical problem, have you had any problems going to the toilet, punter answers no, job done.

Dieticians have to take a four year degree to qualify - a year longer than a Staff Nurse - so i think it is a little ill-informed to belittle their medical status as far a being a health care professional.

The appeals are going to take a hell of a lot longer than they used too, the appeals have gone up 100% and there are no new staff in the appeals centers, so they can only do so many appeals per day, it will take time.

That like another post last night is a very daft way of looking at things. For as narrow a focus at the medical is (in that it may never really cover a condition that prevents you from working) it's certainly wide enough health questions wise to not have them think something about 1 aspect of your health that it cant have anything to do with another aspect of your health. Yet it seems thats what sort of questions like posted above is what the doctors may well be looking at as a basis to the answer to every other question on other health issues. If that makes any sence lol.

    Example being:
a person can walk to the bus stop to get to the medical so they wont therefor have breathing problems?. Yet in my case I have a lot of breathing problems and loose a lot of sleep. Yet when asked about that the doctor would (and seems to have) put the complete oppasite answer to what I gave.

Example: you have problems going to the toilet, not really so that would give them the right to retract the answer that I loose control of my bladder 2 or 3 times a month?.

I have circulation problems when I often cant grip things properly or cant write because of cramp or pins and needles. But if they ask me if I have any real problems to open a packet of crisps and I inform them not to often then I therefor dont have the circulation and problems with gripping?.

The answer to 1 question cannot and should not be the basis of being able to reverse the answer to every other question in any given section. Yet there have been 2 post on here that have suggested thats what they can do.

If thats what they are doing then yes they are doing false medical reports on a hugh scale.
