Forget the conspiracy theories, they are not true and going down that route will get you nowhere. If you wish to appeal then do so, but unless you have solid proof of maladministration, base it only on your incapacity to work.
Same old same old. Patient seeking incapacity benefit is examined by doctor and found fit for work, ergo doctor must be incompetent. Clerk examines patient and finds him unfit for work, ergo clerk must be a highly trained medical professional.
The system is there to ensure that only those unfit to work are able to claim, as ever those people screaming that highly trained professionals are incompetent are purely those who have been kicked back by the system.0 -

None? I don't think so. Thus, too sweeping a statement."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0 -
The DM will not make a decision without the report.A report can be added to/ edited after you have left the room, and often would be - they do not have to complete it in front of you. A fresh report would not be done without you being called for a new medical."Never underestimate the mindless force of a government bureaucracyseeking to expand its power, dominion and budget"Jay Stanley, American Civil Liberties Union.0

Why would a report be edited or added to?. Is there a reason for a doctor wanting to change an answer to something different that what they would have been given by a person?.0

An hospital clerk has absolutely no right to call themselves a HCP. A HCP is someone qualified in one of the healthcare professions.WhiteHorse wrote: »Many of those 'highly trained professionals' are useless or worse than useless. How many doctors were struck off last year? How many negligence lawsuits ended in verdicts against defendant hospitals?

Incredibly few HCP's are struck off. You get bad eggs in every walk of life, but the good far outweigh the bad.WhiteHorse wrote: »Ah, but there have been instances where the DM has done just that.
Please give examples.Gone ... or have I?0 -

Nurses, Occupational Health etc - NOT clerks.0 -

A report would be edited or added to in order to clarify the information given. Notes made in a medical will tend to be brief, these can be elaborated upon when the medical professional has more time (most have allocated admin time each day). If an answer has been changed, and you can prove this, you would of course have grounds for complaint.
You are going down the conspiracy route again. There is no point in considering any of this until you have the information in front of you.Gone ... or have I?0 -

But from what I was shown on the screen at the medical the questions asked have a choice of 3 or 4 answers. Assumingly 1 of these would be chosen depending on answers given right?. At no point did I notice the doctor taking any notes. So from what I can tell it's not a matter of adding notes to the medical as no notes were taken. But more a case of changing the answer given to something else. By the way does anyone or have they even seen the medical questionaire they use?, is there an example of 1 available online to confirm what I'm saying?.
For the questions I seen suggests the entire report done on the computer is made up using multipule chose answers where the doctor picks 1 after each question asked.
Sure, I'd suggest there would be space at the end of the report for the doctor to add notes. But to add notes and then change the answers to something other than what a person gives is wrong. Can I ask for the original doctors report as part of my appeal or would I have to wait for a possable tribunal for that?.0 -
Yes, you can ask for the medical report as part of your appeal. I have already stated this. Rather than going off at tangents, you could have rang the DWP this afternoon and already got the ball rolling.Gone ... or have I?0
