The pain has finally eased off today!! Eating bananas is good for keeping it at bay too - so will be eating lots more - it's the potassium in them.chickywiggle wrote: »not sure how far along you are (if you can reach your feet) and you prob know this but if it is the back of your legs that has cramped up by pulling your toes up towards your body the pain a) gets worse but b) seems to dissapear quicker.
Thanks for the tips. I shall do all that. Eat bananas and pull my toes forward next time it happens.
Those cramps are really really not fun.0 -

Might be wrong but I seem to remember the 12th Nov for some reason.

Becky don't know if you seen the post from ticklepenny last week when I was saying about dd'S chickenpox (or you might already know in which case I'll shut up
) she recommended Piriton for the itching and it worked wonders. It actually says on the bottle it can be used for chicken pox . Wonderful stuff!!
Thanks for that...I didn't see the post. Is it liquid Piriton? I'll have to get some as anything that helps is a god send
I've just had a look online & they do a liquid Piriton & she can take it so I'll get DH to nip to Boots & pick her some up. Thanks again. Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!
Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:0 -
Yeah its the liquid stuff, DD didn't like the taste but she knew it was helping her and to be honest we only had to give it to her about 5 times. Good luck x"That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad. For example, I cry because others are stupid, and that makes me sad."0

its good your oh taking proactive measures to provide for you and the baby , yeah i know it must be really difficult being yourself but in the end sharkeybabe you must look at the future to keep you going.I to get really lonely as my wife of 25 years just got up one morning and walked out for no apparent reason , we had everything but she was never satisfied. It has made me more self conscious to try and get to know people as i am quite shy.But if you need someone just to talk to and get your feelings out you can to me if you like as you seem mixed up with what your oh has done.If you would prefer to talk on messenger we can but i will leave it with you.0

Thanks Krystaltips!!!
Just saw the mention of chicken pox - DD had it in the last stint of my pregnancy with DS...I second the Aqueaous Cream with Calomine - not plain calomine lotion as plain dries out the skin and it still itches then which leads to scabs and then scars. I know Morrisons hold it behind the pharmacy counter rather than the plain lotion which is just on the shelf....deffo get the cream instead - i still have a part used tub so can post the full info if anyone needs it.
And yep, kiddies Piriton (in a bottle) is awesome at helping munchkins sleep more comfortably

Thanks for the tip, I did try that - it usually works, but the cramp was so tight that my hubby could straighten my leg or pull my toes up:rotfl:0 -
Ah we're all pretty harmless... Just start typing like you've always been there and you'll become as much a part of it as the rest of us lol...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... Although that's just tips I've heard on the parents thread... DD1 is 6 and has still never had the pox..."That's no reason to cry. One cries because one is sad.
