  • Awwwww no poor Ruby :( I hope she is feeling better soon. Shame she won't be able to go to the scan with you as I know how much you'd said she was looking forward to it.

I know :( Both of my nieces have had it over the last month so it was only a matter of time. I'm just glad that we are getting it out of the way. The spots are getting worse by the hour. Her back is covered & they look particularly angry there. She is being a super star through it all though. I feel really bad about having to leave her tomorrow as she really is a mummies girl when she is poorly. Bless her!

How are you? I saw that you said the baby is getting really active now! Yay!

    Twoflower - Thinking of you.
Our 1st baby is due 29th December 2007! :rudolf:
I'm hopeful that this get's me out of cooking Christmas dinner!

Baby Ruby arrived after 55 hours of labour & an emergency c section on Christmas Day at 14.41 weighing 6lb 6oz...And yes I did get out of cooking Christmas dinner!!:rotfl:
  • Emsy - you are so going to queue jump me :p

Fuzz - think you may even beat me too, judging by my appointment today. Hope all goes well with your mum chick x

Well I just had an embarrassing midwife appointment. Got told by the midwife that my chuff is not even suitable for a sweep.......and I'm 10 days over!!! Didn't even realise there was unsuitable lady gardens for sweep??? Been told it will be induction Thursday as even though my cervix is soft, its completely closed although baby's head is down apparently.

Omg! Sorry but that has made me Laugh Out Loud!!! Hubby asked me what I was laughing at so I told him which made him cringe into his seat which just made me laugh harder!!!

Had my first physio session today for SPD and really sore now from being pulled around to see how far I can move. Prescribed various exercises and ice packs and back again to see her next week.

To catch up on other postings:

Twoflower - will be thinking of you tomorrow

Dusty - you will be thankful for the feeling "unpregnant" stage in a few weeks, I'm sure it won't be long before you feel some movements and by the time you're at my stage (31 weeks) you'll find it difficult to do anything without being reminded how pregnant you are.

Giz - I have just started reading the Marie Mongan book, if its the current one it should have come with the CD. Can't comment on it yet, but wanted to read something before deciding on taking classes or not.

Chickywiggle - I feel for you, its itching that seems to set me off at night, get hot itchy feet, then aggravate my SPD trying to reach to scratch them, get reminded my bladder needs emptying and then I'm fully awake for hours afterwards!

Charlie - the only position of the placenta which potential is a worry is if it sits directly over the cervix.

Jennynoo - that research on till receipts is hilarious, probably dreamt up by some man to stop his wife shopping!

Bleeding is normal and M/W should have warned you.

I was really looking forward to a lie in on Saturday as hubby wasn't working, so no 6am alarm:D Cue major cramp in my calf at 5.55am:o I've never had cramp like it - woke hubby up with my strange noises!! Leg is still in agony now :(

Oh Catwoman, I've had a few of those crams in the last few weeks. They are evil!! Make me jump out of bed, literally and gunt and wimp. And the pain seems to remain in for the rest of day. I'm making sure I drink all day long now - and wee all day long too :rotfl:-as apparently being dehydrated makes it worse.

The pain has finally eased off today!! Eating bananas is good for keeping it at bay too - so will be eating lots more - it's the potassium in them.

Will be thinking of you tomorrow Twoflower

Had my leaving lunch today at work, it was ok, but I work with a right bunch of moans!! It's getting ridiculous and I'm looking forward to being away from it! But I did get lots of nice presents :D:D:D I got a Fisher Price Jumperoo, Mothercare voucher, Argos voucher, toy rabbit with a jumper printed with all my collegues on it, and a bib with the same, and a vest that says 'Don't look at me, the smell is coming from Daddy', which I love! I also got a voucher for a massage, so weel and truely spoiled!

not sure how far along you are (if you can reach your feet) and you prob know this but if it is the back of your legs that has cramped up by pulling your toes up towards your body the pain a) gets worse but b) seems to dissapear quicker.

M-I-3 i kill 2 birds with one stone ---> sit on the loo and scratch :)
my sis-in-law had SPD from very early on and by all accounts thats not very nice either, hope it clears up ASAP when baby is born.

Becky don't know if you seen the post from ticklepenny last week when I was saying about dd'S chickenpox (or you might already know in which case I'll shut up :o) she recommended Piriton for the itching and it worked wonders. It actually says on the bottle it can be used for chicken pox . Wonderful stuff!!
