    Morning ladies am back!!!
Was at the hospital til half nine last night waiting for BP to come down which it had by half seven, then a very young (inexperienced in my view) doctor decided that baby was breech and wanted me to have a scan cue more hanging around.
This is despite me due to have a section anyway and it not really mattering.

Midwife really disagreed with her and eventually went over her head to the registra who said he trusted midwifes opinion and besides it made no difference so was just waiting for midwife to write up notes and check blood test when an emergency came in so we were just sat waiting from half seven til half nine to be let home, poor DH is on earlies so had been up since half four in the morning and was so tired.

By the time we picked kids up and got home it was half ten, me and DH hadn't eaten such a nightmare.
Got kids at home now as Oliver not well and There was no way Lyla could function at school on so little sleep!!!!
So fingers crossed will make it to Monday and will have my lovely calm planned section!!!!!

Hope all you other ladies ok xxxx
I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.
  • Glad BP has come down Pukkamum :T Try and rest up today sounds like you and the kids should have a PJ day :D

    Good luck for Monday!!

Pukka glad to hear everythings ok honey. Sounds like a day of rest is what you all need:)

Giz re: ebay...she sounds dodgy to me! I'd open a dispute on ebay, to avoid these hassles I always put on my listings that I don't accept returns and definitely don't do refund as I'm very honest with my listing so will take pics of any damage/scratches etc

    HAPPY DUE DATE Mrs Bufger:D:D

as for being at the bottom...I was for ages and ages(specially when people started queue jumping me..hence my issues with it now :P) and then suddenly hit the top 20...... and now I'm bolded *SOB* Emsy I blame you:p:rotfl:

Not much to report from me...got all excited, contractions got really strong last night, called hospital went in for monitoring and got sent home at 10:30pm coz they were tailing off! GRRRRRR! This baby HAS to be a boy..a girl wouldn't be so mean to her Mum:p:rotfl: If it aint here by friday night then I'm gonna shove fire crackers up my foof and scare the kid out of me! I'm so fed up and uncomfortable and to top it off I have sore muscles from sorting out the outhouse yesterday....if I went into labour now I'm not sure I could push hard enough:eek::rotfl: Whats the reckoning the law of $od says I'll go into full blown labour today:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Hope everyones ok xxx

I know! I was locked in the kitchen for an hour yesterday and was convinced I'd have baby on the floor there and then where no-one could get to me:o:rotfl: Had to phone DH...(thank god I had my mobile on me!) to come and let me out, he told his entire office too so been getting jibes off them on FB:rotfl::rotfl:

That reminds me...must go out and buy a new barrel for the handle...if I dare!:p:D

Hi Fuzz - i was just about to ask about you! Have you heard from Legs? I hope she's ok.

Pukkamum - nice to see you back and glad it wasn't anything too serious. You best get those jobs done before bubs decides to make an early appearance

(((Hugs))) MV - hope you don't get a cold. How was the NCT class? Was it worth the money? I'm still unsure

Lillian - It's personal choice - but I have decided not to have the flu jab this year. Mind you, Ive already suffered 2 colds in as many weeks so it's a bleak looking winter for me!

Datamonkey - Congrats on your pregnancy and your baby boy. I've added you to the list.

PC and TigTag - Thanks for the tax and MA info - much appreciated.

Does anyone know where I can pick up a nude colour non underwired bra? Pref not too pricey :money:

Also, I don't think I've had heartburn - but I had something last night. What does it feel like? Is it a pain in the middle of your chest between your boobies - feels like somehting you've ate hasn't gone down very well? Dumb question I know :o

Oooh, lots of scans coming up. Good luck Coops and PC for tomorrow, GFH on Mon and me on Wed :D And is MOTM on Friday?

Right, I'm off to meet a friend and some retail therapy. I need some new black boots and seen some yummy ones in M&S

    Have a good day x

I’m with you on the money front, it’s all I seem to think about at the moment. We’re trying really hard to save as much as possible up until I finish work but with Christmas coming it’s hard work. I’m hoping to do some homemade gifts this year, but not sure how these will go ‘down’ with some family members.

No BH for me either (well not that I’ve noticed). Quick question – has anyone had a water birth? I’ve not yet spoke to MW about the birth but am really interested in a water birth. Also has anyone tried hynobirthing?? I’ve bought The Mongan Method book – about half way through at the mo but haven’t actually started practicing yet.
I've been doing hampers for the parents and inlaws for the last few years. I was nervous the first year but they loved them and now expect one every year! I look for bargains, sweets on bogoff to split between them etc. I made flannel reindeers for the mums which they loved and were disappointed the following year when I didn't make them! lol

I want a water birth and have also considered hypnobirthing too, mainly because I'm such a stressy tense person and thought it might help if I can learn relaxation techniques. Not done anything about it yet though. On Baby and bump forum they have a natural birthing forum and there are loads of waterbirthing stories on there and lots of advice too. Worth a look.

As far as I know, it is taxable and NI-able, but it's below a level to make any difference? 2011-2012 tax allowance is £7475 a year which is £143.75 a week, so the SMP is under that.

However, for me and you Giz, our qualifying week was in the 2010 tax year which is when they start to look at it, and that year's tax allowance was £6475 a year which is £124.52 a week, SMP is £124.88 so we would be taxed on that extra bit - negligible I'd say!

    Not sure about NI though...

Have booked in for a flu jab on Tuesday - did anyone else make a decision?
Thanks Lilian. Nope I'm not having the flu jab.

Giz re: ebay...she sounds dodgy to me! I'd open a dispute on ebay, to avoid these hassles I always put on my listings that I don't accept returns and definitely don't do refund as I'm very honest with my listing so will take pics of any damage/scratches etc
I had on the listing no returns/refunds. But looking into the ebay details if the item is faulty then the buyer has rights anyway. So the whole "no refund" thing only works for people just sending things back just because they don't like it.

GFH I managed to multiquote 3, so it's the same as always :)

    Pukka - glad your OK.

MV - I know what you mean about ill people. Our boss came in coughing and sneezing a few weeks back and as a result about 5 people ended up off work sick and unlucky for me I was on hols so I got ill during my time off

Thanks - I wasn;t going to but spend an hour and a half on a train daily commuting and it's full of sneezy people already - I've come to the conclusion that it's dangerous for me to risk it so am going for it :)

Nude bra - M&S have packs of two that aren't bad value, not the prettiest things though!

Heartburn - that's exactly what it feels like, also like you need to do a hot burp!

Not heard anything back from Legs yet, I was giving her 24 hours grace before I started to harrass her for an update ;)

Nude bra...primark of course ;) they were doing them in the bandeau style but was a while ago but still worth checking ;)

And yep that sounds like heartburn! Took me months to figure out I had it too...and that was after numerous posts on here to try and work it out:D:D
