I don't know if anyone will be interested but I decided to start a blog following my pregnancy and then into mummyhood! If anyone wants to follow it this is the link http://gonnabayummymummy.blogspot.com :)

Thanks Fairy, I'll be following. I started a blog too a while back now, and haven't updated recently, but planning on doing more when I come off on maternity leave.

    Welcome Datamonkey :D

Sorry self indulgent post ahead. I've been balling my eyes out because one of the things I sold on ebay is apparently not working and she want's a full refund :( If I give the full refund, I've basically paid £10 to sell my item :( Thing is I've been conned in the past, so I'm a little cautious. The item was definitely working when I sent it...I tested everything very thoroughly. She is claiming that the box was damaged at the corners. I've suggested to her than we try a claim through Royal Mail first. See what she says.

From her point of view if it isn't working anymore then I can understand the want of a refund and I would want the same. So I don't know what to do. It's just so frustrating because it worked when I posted it!

A year ago I would have refunded without question, but we're skint, these ebay sales were to help pay to fix the boiler. I'm so stressed out and emotional and I've got no money left this month and it's only 3rd November

Not me :( I'm 27 weeks today (officially 3rd trimester woohoo). Will I know when I get a BH? I want one! Or do I not want one?!

    @datamonkey - welcome :)

I would get in touch with eBay themselves they are usually pretty good with seller protection.
I would ask her to send it back to you ( don't refund postage) then you can see if she's bluffing or genuine. At least you will have it back and you can re sell it or get it fixed if it is broken.
I sell a lot of handmade stuff on eBay and I've had quite a few people saying things don't turn up or they are damaged, even though I package everything well.

I don't think you'd get anywhere with RM to be honest but it's worth a try.

Your right to fight your corner, if it was working at the time of posting, it's out of your hands.

Does anyone using an iPhone find it impossible to edit a long quote? I can't get it to scroll down to the end if the quote!

Giz- I'm also very skint this month and my Leckie bill is due in. I've upped the amount of mystery shops I do for some extra cash.
I normally avoid the bank ones but when I skint I take them. It's not loads but it pays a couple of bills.

Hope that's not cheeky suggesting ways for extra cash :o but it saves the hassle of eBay plus free lunches and days out.

I was thinking me mentioning the attempt to claim through Royal Mail might bring out if she's bluffing. If the package was damaged and I was her, I would have sent me a photo of it. I don't see why she can't at least send me a picture. Also the thing that apparently isn't working is a more obscure function that maybe she thought I hadn't tested?

I'm skeptical about a return because I had a buyer once return a computer game that supposedly didn't work. And he sent me a different disc back! Argh why do I bother. I swear this is it and ebay. I've had enough. I've had problems purchasing lately too. And the fees are horrendous now - 10%!!

If I refund her, do I get my paypal and ebay fees refunded?

I'm looking for extra ways of getting cash just now too! I do Partylite parties, which I'm stopping for a while after Saturday due to the impending birth! However, I am uploading some pictures to a word doc to sell on staffnet at work, hopefully I will get some cash. Aslo going to sell hubby's kilt outfit now he has outgrown it!:rotfl:
