Giz- I'm also very skint this month and my Leckie bill is due in. I've upped the amount of mystery shops I do for some extra cash.
I normally avoid the bank ones but when I skint I take them. It's not loads but it pays a couple of bills.

Hope that's not cheeky suggesting ways for extra cash :o but it saves the hassle of eBay plus free lunches and days out.
I did mystery shopping for about 5 years. Just quit last year!! Infact just filled in my last tax return saying I'd given it up! I will consider taking it up again, but the jobs were getting stingy. Some were expenses only with no fees. When I started out it was very worth while doing. But lately jobs such as the sandwich shop and the fast food chains were too much write up up for too little money. I did have a great well paid cinema one, but due to the recession even that got cut down to one visit a year for us!

We've got £40 worth of clubcard vouchers at the moment and I'm seriously considering using them to double up this month to by baby clothes (older clothes too, not just new born). But we don't know the sex and it seems a lot of the tesco stuff is pink or blue. Might have to wait till baby is born.

We're not usually this skint but we had a palaver with OH last credit card debt and something got screwed up...missed a payment and lost the lifetime low interest rate. So maybe stupidly I decided to use our emergency savings plus all our spare money (minus the maternity fund - still have that) to pay off the card. It just means 2 or 3 months of being very skint. But with the roof still needing fixing and the boiler (got quote today of £300) needing repairing it's just all too much!! Argh. I don't want to put any of this stuff on credit cards because I've only got 3 more proper pay packets left and I still need to save another £550 for my maternity fund. And once living off my maternity fund we won't have any spare cash (think I budgeted about £100 a month emergency stuff).

Me and OH have argued tonight because even though I told him on Friday that we had £260 for food and petrol for November and today, less than a week later we seem to have £90!! I don't even know what he's spend that money on. He's never been good with money and I accept that. But I'm fed up having to treat him like a 5 year old when it comes to finances.

    Ugh I've rambled. Sorry guys.

    Nic, I got a response....

She wants a full refund. But then she says she'll email me photos of the box. I've responded saying that I'd like photos so I can make a judgement on whether to put in a claim or not.

She's also put that she wants the full refund before the weekend!! And she's threatened about a formal claim through ebay. And then she asks if I want to collect the item.

I honestly don't see why I should refund without seeing the item.

I feel like responding saying that I won't refund until she returns it too me. Do I have to refund all postage? I'd almost rather do this.

That said I don't even care about getting a negative feedback. I have 500+ feedback 100% positive and I don't think I'll ever sell on ebay again.

I don't like the way she's dictating a refund so soon. I wouldn't expect someone to refund me without seeing the item first. It's crazy.

Nic, I've been reading this and it implies the buyer is responsible for return postage.

    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/sell/shipping-returns.html

And it seems ebay can't just take the money back without a dispute. And I can set some terms like I will refund within 3 days of receiving the item. Maybe I should email her this page?

Not me :( I'm 27 weeks today (officially 3rd trimester woohoo). Will I know when I get a BH? I want one! Or do I not want one?!

I didnt have any with DD I dont think but then this pregnancy has been completely different. Theyre not painful as such when theyre happening but when you have had a few during the day it makes my belly feel sore, like bruised on the inside if that makes sense....

Got a favour to ask......have reworked my cakes, can someone take a look and give opinions please? Just the nappy cakes, not the pamper ones pretty please.....

Oh, and I have another money question. Boring I know!!! Basically, I hope to claim Maternity Allowance, as I will not have worked in my current job long enough to be eligible for SMP, plus we agreed a fixed term contract that ends in Feb. So they say that as long as you have worked for 26 weeks out of the 66 weeks (I think) before your due date, you can claim MA. How do they work out how much weekly MA you are entitled to, considering I will have a mix of unemployment, full time and part time history in those 66 weeks. Thank you :A

    Hiya

They take an average of the highest 13 weeks during your qualifying period. (Up to a maximum of £124.88)

Don't refund anything until she has returned the item to you - this should be done at her cost!!

    morning everyone x

Giz BH I didn't know I was getting them with DD until the midwife told me, this time its hard to ignore they are constant but I think its due to the polyhydramnios which is also whats causing me the breathlessness. I did not get any with DS.

I'd definently go through the dispute process. What would happen if everyone said the stuff the got was broken and demanded a refund no one would sell anything.

If you'd bought something from a company online, you would expect to send the item back for inspection before a decision is made to refund.most companies expect you to pay that postage too.

Don't let her bully you. It sound like she's bluffing. Was it quite expensive? eBay and paypal always worked things out for me as a buyer and seller.

Has she actually opened a dispute? If not I'd wonder why.

Goodluck, don't let these people get you down. Some people are just chancers and shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
