Hello!
I'm just sneaking in from the less than 12 weeks board
I am only 5 and a bit weeks but when I woke up this morning my BB's had stopped hurting.
This is excatly what happened last time at 11 weeks when I had my mmc (but I didn't know that I had until I went for my 12 week scan) so I don't know if it is just me being a little paranoid.
Did any of you lovely ladies lose your symptoms and still go on to join this board!!
Other sites I have read say that sometimes you lose symptoms at 5 weeks and they come back with a vengence a few days later - I have never wanted to ache and be sick so much in my life.

Yes, this happened to me, and I am due in 4 days, so hard as it is, try not to panic.
Call your MW, explain situ, ask for an early scan at your EPU (they might not do til 6/7 weeks)
There is no way of knowing unfortunately at this point what is what0 -
Not me
I'm 27 weeks today (officially 3rd trimester woohoo). Will I know when I get a BH? I want one! Or do I not want one?!
@datamonkey - welcome
Giz - sorry I can't offer any advice re: ebay. I would do the same - claim through R.Mail.
I haven't had one BHick and I'm nearly 41wks pregnant!!0 -
Plymouth I meant to say congrats on your debt-free-ness. Well done, and great timing! Please do not confuse me with other gratefulsforhelp. x0

Got a favour to ask......have reworked my cakes, can someone take a look and give opinions please? Just the nappy cakes, not the pamper ones pretty please.....

Thanks everyone so much for the ebay advice and my apologies for taking the thread a little off topic with that. The item only sold for £20I feel silly now reflecting on it in the morning, although still a bit mad at the ebayers demands. I will wait for the photos of the box as that's what I asked for and if I don't think it's worth claiming and we can't agree then I will suggest for her to file a resolution thingy and tell her she needs to send it back to me. I think I'd rather just keep it than sell it again.
You got me thinking about Mystery Shopping again. How would mystery shopping affect SMP? Does anyone know?
@tigtag - you say SMP isn't tax free. What can I expect to take home? The amount will be less than the tax threshold over the year, so surely there won't be any tax? Will NI still come out?
Also, nice to know the BH thing is yet another thing that is just different for everyone.
Baby kept me awake for an hour last night for the first time. He/she keeps making me jump and it kinda tickles. It felt like he was lying sideways so his hands were one side and feet the complete opposite side. It was really odd, but nice. But I'm tired nowStill trying to make the most of it though as I know I will miss the movements when he's out.

KkxxIt's such a stressful time the first few weeks. I'm sorry to hear about your previous MMC and I can totally understand that's going to make you more paranoid. Some ladies pay for early scans to put their mind at rest but it's not very MSE. Sticky baby dust to you.

Can I join please? EDD 11th April 2011. Baby number 2 and we know we are having a boy.
Welcome and congrats:jSorry self indulgent post ahead. I've been balling my eyes out because one of the things I sold on ebay is apparently not working and she want's a full refund
A year ago I would have refunded without question, but we're skint, these ebay sales were to help pay to fix the boiler. I'm so stressed out and emotional and I've got no money left this month and it's only 3rd November
Did she pay by paypal? If so you can go to dispute resolution.
Otherwise ask her to send it back, if she won't you have no evidence it is broken. She could be sending you a 'photo of another one she has bought.
I have done dispute resolution once when I bought a T shirt BNWT and it had fag burns in it!! I did have to send the item back first, and then the cheeky so and so said they hadn't received it back, but we got there in the end.
Tried to multi quote some others, has MSE reduced the number of multi-quotes we can do??

Morning guys.
Kamper - Do what emsy suggested and give your EPU dept a ring, but again try not to worry (she says as she is about to post her own neurosis!:o).
As I said on the 12 wks thread, I had virtually no symptoms at all with this pregnancy, so was walking on eggshells to 12 weeks as I'd had a m/c at 9 weeks (again with no symptoms) a few months earlier.
Went to our first NCT class last night, which was good but didnt finish till 9.30pm, so having rushed there from work, and then not got home till 10pmish, I'm knackered today. OH is ill too and has been coughing all over the house. Not being unsympathetic but I keep telling him to stay away from me and cover his mouth when he coughs as I REALLY don't need it.
Fed up with people in my office heroically struggling in with colds too. I just think it's selfish when they work closely with a pregnant woman. STAY AT HOME AND KEEP YOUR GERMS AWAY FROM ME!!!
And..I'm still fretting about lack of movement. It's been better recently, normally I get some in the evening after dinner, but nothing yesterday. Mind you I wasn't sprawled out on my sofa where I usually am when he starts moving about, so hoping it's just that.
Doesn't help that I hate my midwife at the GP, so don't feel I can approach her, so my only option is to ohone the hospital and see if they'll have another listen..but my hospital is miles away and I'm at work etc...
Meh.
Sorry for the rant.Metranil dreams of becoming a neon,You don't even take him seriously,How am I going to get to heaven?,When I'm just balanced so precariously..0 -
Morning everyone!
Arrggh feeling really drained today L but must keep plodding on – 32 working days left.
Hugs ---à Giz, I would definitely get the buyer to return the item before you refund and let them pay for return postage.
I’m with you on the money front, it’s all I seem to think about at the moment. We’re trying really hard to save as much as possible up until I finish work but with Christmas coming it’s hard work. I’m hoping to do some homemade gifts this year, but not sure how these will go ‘down’ with some family members.
No BH for me either (well not that I’ve noticed). Quick question – has anyone had a water birth? I’ve not yet spoke to MW about the birth but am really interested in a water birth. Also has anyone tried hynobirthing?? I’ve bought The Mongan Method book – about half way through at the mo but haven’t actually started practicing yet.
Sorry for the long post, hugs and labour vibes to those who need them xxCallum James born 6 weeks early on 27th December 2010 :smileyhea0 -
@tigtag - you say SMP isn't tax free. What can I expect to take home? The amount will be less than the tax threshold over the year, so surely there won't be any tax? Will NI still come out?
As far as I know, it is taxable and NI-able, but it's below a level to make any difference? 2011-2012 tax allowance is £7475 a year which is £143.75 a week, so the SMP is under that.
However, for me and you Giz, our qualifying week was in the 2010 tax year which is when they start to look at it, and that year's tax allowance was £6475 a year which is £124.52 a week, SMP is £124.88 so we would be taxed on that extra bit - negligible I'd say!
Not sure about NI though...
