Fuzz is back, the chatter has recommenced :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I am really not looking forward to the sweep (who would) but rather that than c/s, and I cannot be induced as previous c/s, so my best bet to get things going really.

Ref knicker checking.......same here ladies, thought last night waters were leaking, as damp but no smell (I know, I know :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: ) but not sure now......no contractions so figured I would wait and see.

Re the sweep, am I likely to bleed much after? Do I need to take sanitary towels? Will I be ok to drive? Sorry for stupid Q's, but I have no idea :o:o

Whilst sex is often recommended as a method of inducing labour it should not be used when the waters have broken as there is a risk of infection, the OP says she has had some leaks so would not risk it.

    Hi ladies

It's not the colposcopies that can affect your cervix when carrying a baby but treatments such as LETTZ. If you have had nothing further than a colposcopy I really wouldn't worry but do speak to your madwives to have your minds put at rest.

If you have had any treatment then you should really have your cervix measured. My PCT does this at 17 and 23 weeks. If it's short then the place a cerclage (a stitch) and watch you like a hawk.

As far as I'm aware, unless you are very high risk colposcopies should wait until after birth.

fuzz I was stalking but didn't fess up. Does that make me s freak too ;)

AFM - Full term for me today. How did that happen. It also puts me 18/20 on the list so please, no more babies now because the thought of what happens as I get to the top is too scary to contemplate ;)

Sex is usually the best way, but if you've had leaks then they will normally tell you to avoid sex for fear of causing infection .....

Have you tried rasberry leaf tea??? or tweak your nipples ....

Dont bother with castor oil it can cause alsorts of trouble dehydration being the worst, and sickness and loose bowels being others and then to suffer these and not have labour start is often the way it goes x
It is better to stay silent and be thought a fool, than to open one’s mouth and remove all doubt. :p

in other news i had my second ante - natal class at hospital last night with OH - there was a couple there who had had their twins two weeks ago they were 6 weeks early!! both girls were so cute and quiet, whilst all other babies were wailing away.

i am quite determined that mine will not be here before week 38 -
    7.5 weeks to go

was a bit daunted by the the whole experience, but it was getting late and i was getting tired.

got another scan tomorrow and consultant review and diabetic review as well - I seem to live at hospital on a wednesday
good luck with getting to 38 weeks:) I think you'll be really lucky if you can manage it:D do you know the sex of your bubbas?

Not sure if I'm hungry or just feel sick:o might copy legs and go watch some tv and bounce on my ball....assuming I don't wet myself in the process:eek::rotfl:

Both my kids arrived within 24 hours of acupuncture and reflexology at a Chinese establishment. I highly recommend it and they arrived pretty quickly. 1st 7 hours start to finish and 2nd 3 hours

I have been taking the raspberry leaf tea tablets but apparently this doesnt help bring on labour - it only helps speed up the second stage.
