And the most effective way for semen to work is actually not having it enter the body by the normal s e x route but by ingesting it. Although I understand this is not everyone'e cup of tea, as it were.

When my baby was born earlier this year I had eaten half a fresh pineapple the day before and then spicy fajitas. No idea if that was coincidence though! Stairs also brought on my contractions.

I think most likely the baby will just come when it's ready, so my main advice would be to rest and enjoy the last bit of baby-free time

Right, this is incredibly difficult! My bump is huge, dog has decided that he is happiest on my knee, and laptop is balanced very precariously on the end of my knee!! Oh and Fred keeps moving his head in front of the screen!! Bubs keeps kicking the dog but he doesn't care!!

Anyways, day off today, had hospital today about my iron levels and they have decided that as I have only been on the tablets for 11 days, so wait another two weeks before they'll decide whether or no I need IV treatment. Which is fine, but I really want my levels up as high as possible before the birth, hopefully the tablets are working well, I am definitely less tired that I was.

Re dogs names, I have a friend who had a chocolate lab called Bailey, which I think is nice. My dogs all have 'proper' names though!!

On *average* they're born at 40 weeks, with only about 5% turning up on the due date, and the rest some time in the two weeks before or after. Emphasis on the after for first babies!

Besides, have you seen the weather out there?? It's cold, wet and miserable, so no wonder the little blighter wants to stay in the warm!

Tempting fate is the best way to get the baby out. Go and do activities where it would be REALLY inconvenient if your waters broke!

Just wanted to add that raspberry leaf tea won't bring on labour, but it has been shown to increase the efficiency of your contractions, making your second stage of labour quicker

Apparently for pineapple to work you'd have to eat about 8 whole ones one after the other! Now I wouldn't want to try that, my mouth was stinging after just one. I have to say I don't think anything works, I literally tried everything and nothing worked.

Cheers GFH just this whole moving business. Don't want to phone solicitor or broker incase bad news or an issue but at same point i am annoyed at lack of keeping me in loop.Is no news good news?

I only have 17 days to go to my due date. I am more than active, have my own business with my fiance and work/run around from 6am to 5pm. Ive had twinges but nothing has come of it

Teenie I feel the same to be honest. With my first I lay for hours rubbing my belly and talking to it really early on. I guess this time I dont have time to do that plus I know what to expect so I just get on with it. Once I feel proper kicks etc and i know he/she can hear me then I hope i'll feel more attached.

Im feeling really down today. My OH has found us a lovely house and wants us to go up on Saturday to view it. BUT im getting cold feet about moving :o.
I feel silly after talking about it with you lot and getting excited.
But last night I cried myself to sleep (i know, silly cow).
I feel really emotional and am starting to worry if its the right decision to move at all.

Sorry ive started so I dont think I can stop....

The house the kids and I live in is a 3 bed Housing association house I got offered 3 years ago when Oh and me had separated for a while.
I love the house with my garden. Its in a wee village where the school is good.
If I move I feel my safety net is being taken away.:o

Im worried about taking DD out of school. she is doing so well. She also goes to Rainbows and dancing. I feel bad taking all that away from her.
My tears all started last night when I went online to find her a new Highland dancing teacher up in Huntly and I couldnt find one.

I love my Oh to pieces and hes a great Dad, but I always feel I dont stand up for what I want and my life has to go along with everyone elses. I was taken for a mug with both my previous long term relationships. And never ever stood up for what I wanted.

Im find it hard to speak to my OH as everything is going well for him, he has a job and a career and it would be perfect if we could move to be with him.

My family and friends are all here. if I go up North I will have no one except my Oh and kids.

sorry ill stop now. I dont have anyone in real life I can really tell them how I feel so you poor lot are getting it.
I know a lot of that doesnt make sense. And my list of pros and cons could be huge.

im off to have a cuppa and give myself a right good talking to.

hun I think most first babies are overdue, I know it seems awful now but you may have another 32 days to wait if bubs decides it's comfy in there, so just try and enjoy your time, have some me time, you won't get much soon!! The twinges may just be braxton hicks x

Your due date will take you to 40 weeks - anything up to 42 weeks is still considered 'term'. I don't mean to depress you, but you could have another four weeks (sorry!). Try and relax and rest as much as you can.
