Thank you all so very much for your messages of support.

MV, I've had sciatica off and on since quite early on in the pregnancy
It seems to have flared up lately and I sometimes have trouble putting much weight on my right leg without being in agony and/or feeling like my knee is going to give way. This is making getting out of my car quite difficult at the moment. I'm hoping it doesn't get much worse, else I'm going to be stranded at home til Flump arrives (which I'm not expecting any time soon - I'm so going to be ending up in bold come Thursday
)
Ladylegs, Flump was over to my right side at my last MW appointment and she said they tend to move over towards the back from there when in labour so there is a chance of him/her moving to a posterior position when the time comes to squeeze them out. She suggested I should kneel on the floor and lean forwards over a gym/birth ball to help get him/her around to the front.
Is a sweep something the MW is likely to spring on me at the next appointment, or do they give you some notice? My next appointment is this Friday when I'll be 2 days over, but she didn't mention anything about sweeps at the last appointment. You can do anything, make anything, dream anything. Lady legs have you tried getting on all 4s to swing baby round? "Apparently" it can shift bubs from back to back.
Hi TP. Yep - last night I was determined to do bear-walking and lean forward over my ball - OH came home from work and found me hanging over it, using it like a pillow with tears rolling down the ball:o My knees were burning with pain from my weight and squished boobs against the ball. I was a mess and felt guilty for thinking the baby simply hates me coz it won't get into position.emsywoo123 wrote: »In other news.......I have a SWEEP tomorrow   :eek:My sweep is booked for Sat 6th but I don't want one. *stamps feet*

MOTM, I too have my scan on the 5th and I am also feeling a bit apprehensive. Don't know why. I am sure we will all be fine and can compare notes.
Glad to have you back!!!
Princess, I'm hoping the hospital doesn't have a policy of not telling you as the Aberdeen one does but I am going to Stonehaven. Fingers crossed for finding out the colour!!!!
They told me with my 1st so I'm sure they will with this one, I'm definately finding out I can't stand suspense:o I'm convinced it's a boy but a girl would be easier as I have a 2 year old girl and ALOT of girly pink stuff, my DD doesn't like boys  + my BF is 10 weeks ahead of me with a girl. But other than a girl being convenient I don't really have a preference. My scan is at 14:30 when's yours?Sammy_Girl wrote: »
Welcome to the newbies and good luck to those with scans. Princess Coupon, Coops and MOTM - I am very jealous, you lot have got scans before me!!! Are we all finding out the sex?
Right, I've got a dog to walk so catch you all later xxx
What date is your scan?ManOnTheMoon wrote: »Oooh, my good lady's scan may not be before you as ours is not 12th, that's Princess Coupon'sWe have to wait another week until the 12th
Yes, we are going to find out the genders
Think conversaton with Princess Coupon got lost in translation (or I have mistranslated, which is always possible) as my good lady's scan is the 12th and Princess Coupon is 5th. Hopefully it will be fireworks for you and well as PC
I'm not sure if your apprehension is the same as mine as you are carrying and i'm not, although the way i've been feeling the last few days.....:o My apprehension is more to do with boys, boy and girl...or girls:eek: If it is to be 2 more girls, i'll be too embarrased to return
Will look forward to see how you get on next week
If they are both girls your swimmers are worth their weight in gold to rich women who have 5 boys and are desperate for a girl a record of 9/9 would be impressive.AKA: PC

I had 3 none of which worked, for one of them the MW had long nails:eek::eek: and was a tad uncomfortable. When i saw them I thought to refused but i was so keen to get the baby out I kept quiet and secretly hoped she would be more effective:o:eek:AKA: PC

I took Black Cohosh to induce labour (bought from boots) took 15 drops every 30minutes for 12hours then a slug of caster oil.
In labour within 4 hours and gave birth 3 hours later
PLEASE DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH ONLINE TO SEE IF THIS IS AN OPTION YOU WISH TO TAKE.0 -
I'm hoping it doesn't get much worse, else I'm going to be stranded at home til Flump arrives (which I'm not expecting any time soon - I'm so going to be ending up in bold come Thursday
) Me too - although on Friday.:p
Ladylegs, Flump was over to my right side at my last MW appointment and she said they tend to move over towards the back from there when in labour so there is a chance of him/her moving to a posterior position when the time comes to squeeze them out. She suggested I should kneel on the floor and lean forwards over a gym/birth ball to help get him/her around to the front.
I honestly find it too painful on the floor but the bed is better - but I can't be in that position for longer than 5 minutes.
Is a sweep something the MW is likely to spring on me at the next appointment, or do they give you some notice? I didn't have my normal midwife but this new one said to book in at 41 weeks and once I've been swept they would likely keep me in! So seems different everywhere you look.
My next appointment is this Friday when I'll be 2 days over, but she didn't mention anything about sweeps at the last appointment.0 -
Sex,curry and pineapple. Not necessarily at the same time!
Or, arrange an important and private dinner date - you know the sort, non-refundable tickets and babysitters etc. That is a guaranteed winner!0
