Fuzz, in my scan yesterday they put the thingy on, and now he is such a size that his face is bigger than the screen so they have to zoom out, so genuinely they are not as exciting as you might think :o
Makes me feel a little better, thanks :) I suppose I just wanna check bubs really hasn't got as many limbs as it actually feels like....wouldn't be hugely surprised if I gave birth to an octo-baby:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Merfe I do love it when people have a good strong opinion about how you should give birth to your own baby :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: If you want a c/s and that is all agreed then bums to them. I'm in that sort of mood today :D

Thanks 2girls. I have the benefit (or curse) of havng a madwife for a mother in law so OH thinks he is an expert on all things childbirth. Can i have a roll eyes smily. She wants me to demand a CS and not risk vaginal, I heamorrage alot, have quick labours/births and delivering at home far far to risky so thats pushing OH. Last time despite being prepared for bleed out i lot 2 litres so i would be in mega trouble delivering at home. Oh is driving me up the wall though. If my pelvis is ok I want an induction if not just cut me.

Try having an OH that's better informed and more opinionated than you from calving in his youth! I'd never heard of colostrum until he started going on about how cow's milk is different in the first few days after birth. As far as he's concerned, anything that's good enough for a cow and calf is good enough for me and Bash! :rotfl:
I started trying to talk to him about a birthing pool the other day and his response was that if animals didn't do it that way, why would I need to?
Just wait until the labour and I'll get my revenge :D:p:D

Its quite sad to think I wont get anymore scans after today if all goes as it has so far. Its odd because I was consultant led with DD so got scans upto 36 weeks but they have decided Im ok and am now midwife led so no more scans :(

Just a quick one re maternity leave, how much paid leave do we get these days? Is it 39 weeks still?

I know that feeling- had my scan at 22wks, which was an age to wait after 12wks, but at least it cut (approx) two weeks off the time still to wait to see again. (Not entirely sure that sentence is English... :p)

Depending on employment status etc., it's usually 6wks at 90% pay followed by 33wks at SMP, so yes, 39wks total.

Very hacked off with Sky- just had a text from them saying my phone line/internet is fixed and they're closing my case... Only this is the third day running they've done that and I anticipate another hour on the phone (mobile, and they only have 0800 numbers on saynoto0870, so also costing a fortune) tonight trying to get them to believe that I'm in a better position than them to know whether I'm getting a dial tone or not...

    woohoo for cot ordering Giz.

2girls - nope no way no how stuck babies terrify me. really really do. ifthere is a chance teapot getting stuck its sunroof for me.

I certainly won't be taking any chances either - DD1 was 8lb 6oz and I think that that would be my cut off point - just won't risk anybody's life! Can still live in hope that this baby will be small though :o and if my sickness and diet had anything to do with it then that should help - with DD2 I ate like a horse and was constantly starving!!

I forsee a few conversations with us and possible sections in the coming few months :rotfl: our due dates are fairly close too aren't they?
    DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
    DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

    DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

Heh RBG - we got quite a bit knocked off the bill so are ok, plus if it was the food which gave me the squits i won't be rushing back. :)

Emsy, thanks for making me laugh too! So funny fancying your consultant, i (mostly) hope I don't end up with a gorgeous one!

Dusty, ((hugs)). Get better today so you're well enough to enjoy the weekend. I'd dread to think what I'd be like if someone didn't feed me for 3 hours!!

    Hi everyone else :)
Been waking at 5am and not getting back to sleep most of the week so thank goodness it's Friday! Big row with oh this morning as he sets his alarm so early then keeps snoozing it or worse ignoring it completely, so my plan of sleeping in a bit were scuppered :(

Have had to skip a couple of pages as didn’t get on much yesterday to keep up with you all :(

Emsy Sorry but I had to laugh at the wee sample incident  sounds like something that would happen to me!

2girlsforme sorry to hear you’ve had a rubbish morning , hope you day improves as it goes on :)

DueMarch Hope all goes well at your scan today :D I can’t for ours – 2 weeks on Tuesday.

Dusty oh dear that sounds awful – glad to hear you’ve taken the day off work, sounds as if you need it today. Look after yourself today *hugs* I’d like one of those hot chocolates please (with cream and marshmallows too!)

OH has already decided that he wants us to have a growth scan at around 30 weeks because he said it’s such a long time to go between the 20 week scan and Tadpole arriving. We won’t be having one of the 3d or 4d ones though as neither of us really like them that much.

Not much going on here really. Went to view a house on Wednesday evening, OH and I fell in love with it – it was totally perfect but unfortunately ours isn’t on the market yet so we have been unable to put in an offer on it :( it’s given us the push we need to get ours up for sale though so hopefully as soon as we get back from holiday it’ll be going on the market.

Am counting down now as am only at work Monday – Weds next week as we go on holiday to Kos next Thursday for a week :j this will be our last holiday abroad before bubs arrives I think. Am not quite sure what on earth I will wear though as none of my usual holiday clothes really fit me at the moment I don’t want to buy a load of new stuff as the weather here isn’t exactly ideal for summer clothing and it isn’t very MSE if I’m not going to get much wear of it :o

Have got a list of things to do over the weekend which is as long as my arm – so much for a nice relaxing one this week

My OH does exactly the same then can't understand when I am grumpy and snap at him.

Girls what am I going to do....I feel guilty about letting work down but I really don't see that this pain will settle by Monday. I have to phone the Drs after 2pm to get an appointment for Monday morning so might phone work and say I have an appointment to see Dr to have her say whether I am fit for work or not....I can feel the alien moving around so I know things are ok with him but I am still so sore that it's bringing tears to my eyes (hmmm where else would I be crying from I suppose lol) that's what I get for rushing into housework I suppose too

An ex of mine used to do that - he'd set his alarm 2 hours before he needed to get up so that he could snooze! I put paid to that VERY quickly especially as once I'm awake I stay awake most of the time. Ridiculous!
