Threemutleys huge congrats, do you mind me asking what Medway was like?

MV AFAIK NHS policy is that breech babies will always be delivered by planned C/S. That said, a lday on my hosp tour did have a feet first "normal" delivery as they did not realise til too late that bubs was breech.

it used to be more common, but midwifery shortages mean that they are now avoided as it has to be a more carefully managed delivery as complications can easily occur.

Just been to asda and this baby carrier is £7.50:
    http://direct.asda.com/Red-Kite-Carry-Me-Premier-Baby-Carrier-Black/002663530,default,pd.html

Any opinions? I know OH wants a M&P one, but it's not very MSE. Wondered if anyone has one...long shot I know.

Also the Lindam stair gate was £7.50. Wondered if I should snap one up, although I'm not sure of the width of my stairs. You would think they are pretty standard size?

Other bargain I saw was the Manual Tommy Tippee breast pump at £10 (cheapest I've seen it, I got mine for £12 from tesco a while back).

I've just seen someone post on another forum that the electric Tommee Tipee pump is £20 at Asda in the baby event. I'd already decided that I want one of them but the question is do I get it now considering OH doesn't really want to buy anything till after the 20 week scan or do I wait and see if there is another Asda baby event before March (which I'm pretty sure there will be).

They didn't have that at my Asda. They do have the events a fair bit, this must be the 3rd in 12 weeks. But for £20 for an electric...if your store has it and this is the one you want I think I'd grab it. I've already missed out on a few deals because of my dithering.

I was going to ask that too but thought it might be a bit cheeky, it's probably changed a bit since I had DS 4 years ago. Oh well I'll find out soon enough.

I think with the breech babies as well so many are delivered by c-section as that is the recommendation that the midwives nowadays are less likely to be experienced in delivering them to give the best care.

Giz I have a very similar carrier to that although different brand and I love it. Alot of people prefer the sling style but with DD she was carried because she cried when lying flat so this type suited her better and I just kept it. I don't think the brand really matters, they are all basically the same style with this type.

Totally agree with this! I'm currently trying to find a deal as good as the one I found at toysrus but I can't and I'm getting pee'd off:mad:
