thanks three that is good to know and similar to my past experiences there.

Giz we bought the screw in ones by accident when we had DD and they were a pain when you wanted to move them and we also had to get some special massive screws because the ones that came with it would never have held it to the wall. Whereas I think most people do not have problems with the tension ones. I'm not bothering this time, I will keep a close eye on the little one and shout at OH when he doesnt and he probably won't, he is rubbish. DS managed to fall down the stairs a couple of times and they really do just bounce. First babies are made of china though xxx

DH randomly came home with one of these last week. I wasn't going to bother with a sling but apparently he has been imagining himself carrying the baby around in one when he's walking the dogs etc :D. He hasn't shown much interest in all the baby bits and pieces so far so it came as a bit of a surprise tbh...turns out he has his own secret trips to the asda baby event :rotfl:. Anyway obviously we haven't used it yet but seems pretty good quality for the price.
:rotfl:Excellent...great minds your OH and I, that's what I want the carrier for (not my own dog) but going for walks with mum and her dog. I just thought it might be easier as she goes in woods and stuff.

I think it's the pressure one. But will check. what's the best? I didn't fancy having to put holes in my walls.
Personally I'd go for a pressure one but thats coz I don't want permanent holes in the walls:o once bubs is at the gate shaking stage it'll be old enough to know the word no...that would be my only reason for getting the screw in ones:)

Giz - I have those stairgates, we've had them up and they seem pretty secure. They're pressure ones but I think they have an option to screw in from what I remember x

    Good Afternoon Ladies,

I'm just going for a read back now, but just quickly wanted to ask if anyone comes across a cotbed on their search to please let me know. I'm having quite a drama finding a ivory/off white/cream colour cotbed, preferable with a beech coloured wood on the top!! I'm trying to find the cotbed to match existing funiture that we already have!

    Thanks ladies :)

am sure I saw one like that on either Kiddicare or Babies R Us..

ETA just checked there is an Obaby 1 on Kiddiecare - hope this helps!

Haha I bet they are :) Am I going to be a paranoid mother?!

I will triple check the stair gate fixings. Just looked online...think it's the screw type. Hmmm...

  • Hey there ladies,

sorry - just had to skim read a bit as there are so many posts!

    Congrats 3 Muttleys!

I wanted to ask - cos I'm now 22 weeks and at that stage where I can feel lots of little kicks but OH can't feel anything (he just feels my pulse when his hand is on the bump). Anyway, my cousin suggested that if you lie in the bath you can see the movements in the water. Just tried this and couldn't see anything - although I could feel a few movements inside. Has anyone else tried????

    Congratulations to threemeuttleys :j:j:j

(((Hugs))) Dusty - hopefully next week will be a better week.

Good luck to the engaged ladies - ones I can remember are Fuzz, Emsy and Ladylegs - sending loads of labour vibes your way.

So are things starting to be reduced at the Asda baby event? I might pop down there this afternoon as I especially fancied the electric breast pump. Hmmmm.
