MV, as far as I am aware any future scans are only if they are concerned about the size of the baby not its position.

My midwife had a feel around this week and noted the position in my notes for the first time, so I guess that will become a routine part of check ups from now on.
We Made-it-3 on 28/01/11 with birth of our gorgeous DD.
  • ah but that's good news Fuzzy as hopeful it will mean he/she will just spring forth from your loins with no complications/stress etc :D
:rotfl::rotfl: I can live in hope:D and yeah I know I'm lucky only requiring the mandatory 2 scans but it's a long time between 20 & 40 weeks to see bubba again:o Ah well, I'll suck it up and just hope bubs doesn't keep us waiting too long:D

Dusty what a load of carp.......this sort of stuff is manageable when youa re not preggers, but I know it all seems so overwhelming at the moment. Big hugs to you xxxxxxxx

My late scans were due to his size, not position, they can feel which way round baby is, so no need for extra. :D

Fuzz, in my scan yesterday they put the thingy on, and now he is such a size that his face is bigger than the screen so they have to zoom out, so genuinely they are not as exciting as you might think :o

MV - if they have concerns bubba might be breech they will scan you to check. Really though baby is so much bigger you struggle to see much. DD2 had fetal tachacardia at 3 weeks and I was scanned then as an emergancy to check her heart and she was just too big to see anything other than a limb at a time. they did flick to 3d though which was cool

    thanks guys.

I'm slightly cheered up already, just having a woe is me moment.

Homebase have really p1ssed me off though..............ggrrr......only a very large hot chocolate will fix this situation :) .!!!
  • Its quite sad to think I wont get anymore scans after today if all goes as it has so far. Its odd because I was consultant led with DD so got scans upto 36 weeks but they have decided Im ok and am now midwife led so no more scans :(

Just a quick one re maternity leave, how much paid leave do we get these days? Is it 39 weeks still?

39 weeks paid and boohoo 13 weeks unpaid so I still have quite a bit of saving to do and christmas and loads of birthdays and mum and dad's anniversary in between :S
Morning ladiesWell a down day for me I'm afraid....feel free to not bother reading on if you're in a good mood as i'm under a black cloud...........Rant beginsWent out for dinner with friends last night as planned. Service in the restaurant was ssssooooooo slow that we were in there for 3 hours, which would've been fine normally but when I'm used to being in bed for 9pm and I'm just about to eat then I was feeling so tired. Then I nearly choked on a bl00dy bone, but thats a whole other story. Company was great though. Anyway, as soon as i had eaten i got this horrendous pain shooting down my left hand side, was struggling to breathe. Got home and promptly emptied my bowels in a spectacular fashion, this then continued til about 3am this morning so obviously something in my dinner didn't agree with me.So i've taken today off work to get some sleep but OH is snoring so that hasn't happened.Oh, and to top it all off, just rang Homebase to see if the sofa we ordered on the 22nd August is ever going to be delivered, only to be told it was cancelled on the 21st September - Hurrah...!!Rant over

Hugs Dusty....I would put in a complaint about your service etc, you never know you might get a freebie out of it if it is worth going back to the restaurant lol...was feeling quite upbeat earlier but have came down again after doing a small amount of housework and it hurting like hell on the right hand side again....really want this pain to stop and let me get back to work :S
