I think that is the bit that freaks most people out to be honest, but it is so quick, and not painful, and you are so busy thinking about other stuff that I honestly believe it is the thought of it rather than the actual having it that is the worst :o

Yes that is absolutely why I am scared - I know it's the thought more than anything - have spoken to loads of people who have had sections and said that it is fine - just my woossyness (LOL is that a word!!).

For the lady with the broken pelvis :eek:, my DD2 was stuck for 6 mins with her head out and shoulders in - which is a long time apparently - and in the end her arm broke which is probably what saved her life :o, so I am not silly in any way shape or form and if this baby is remotely large then it will come out the sun roof - but just keep hoping that it is going to be wee toot!! Highly unlikely though :rotfl:, I know that DH would rather I opted now for a section - because he was way more aware of what happened the last time than I was, but I am waiting for the growth scan at 36 weeks to decide! ;)
    DD1 - May 02 8lbs 6oz
    DD2 - June 05 10lbs 6oz

    DD3 - 24th Jan 11 7lbs 9oz

Just ordered the Winnie the pooh cotbed from Mothercare. It's not quite as cheap as it was, but it's reduced from £250 to £200 and I don't want to miss out this time. Got £20 off, free delivery and £9 quidco, so £171 in total :money:

Merfe I forgot you were Medway :D I might go there, cos at Maidstone..........
    • Left it til 34 weeks before they decided I could not have water birth, so offered mobile monitoring.......
    • at 35 weeks told that mobile elads broken, so offered TENS machine as genture of goodwill........
    • Went to get TENS yesterday at 36 weeks, and told they have lost several parts so cannot lend me one!!!!!!

All this nearly made me cry yesterday, so told Mr Scrummy I was tres unhappy bout Maidstone, and he basically said that Maidstone/Pembury/Medway are on a constant state of divert, so who knows where I will end up

In the last 30 days, Maidstone has been on divert 42 times, Pembury 21, and Medway 14 :rotfl:

Sounds like none of them are coping with the baby boom.

I do get to choose between maidstone and medway but tbh there is nothing that would make me pick maidstone, its infection stats are not too good although I think it may have improved. I've also heard its often too busy and just turns people away. With the other 2 I'd have been transferred to medway anyway because I was on the high risk ward with the gestational diabetes. Not sure where they will put me this time, have to see how next weeks GTT goes.

Morning ladiesWell a down day for me I'm afraid....feel free to not bother reading on if you're in a good mood as i'm under a black cloud...........Rant beginsWent out for dinner with friends last night as planned. Service in the restaurant was ssssooooooo slow that we were in there for 3 hours, which would've been fine normally but when I'm used to being in bed for 9pm and I'm just about to eat then I was feeling so tired. Then I nearly choked on a bl00dy bone, but thats a whole other story. Company was great though. Anyway, as soon as i had eaten i got this horrendous pain shooting down my left hand side, was struggling to breathe. Got home and promptly emptied my bowels in a spectacular fashion, this then continued til about 3am this morning so obviously something in my dinner didn't agree with me.So i've taken today off work to get some sleep but OH is snoring so that hasn't happened.Oh, and to top it all off, just rang Homebase to see if the sofa we ordered on the 22nd August is ever going to be delivered, only to be told it was cancelled on the 21st September - Hurrah...!!Rant over
  • Good luck to all the 'engaged' ladies..question do you get one final scan towards the end to check the baby is the right way up etc, or can they just tell by feeling your stomach?

In other news...got my HIP grant in my bank account this morning :T
:j:j:jfor HIPG:j:j:j as for another scan...not me :( This little one is too well behaved and does as it's told!! *sigh* :)
