So all good here.......Am 36+4, scan showed bubs looking good....ENGAGED!! hurrah. Current weight est 7lbs 6oz.
In a total twist to most of you, I am delighted that my consultant has agreed to delay my c/s til 41/42 weeks........for many reasons I really do not want one. Will start having sweeps at 38 wks
Some of you might remember my consultant is Mr Dishy Gorgeous Hunk and I have embarassed myself many times now, including my telling another mum at school about him and realising that everyone knows him as our children are together
Anyhoo........yesterday's shocker.......he walks up behind me and says "boo, long time no see" which makes me jump........while I am carrying my wee sample!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! which misses him by the tiniest of margins. Could I go more red?!?!
Ah well ho hum. That'll be summat to think about while he is faffing about with the sweep :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

oh Emsy I was not expecting to log on this morning and laugh so hard that it hurt but your story about the Consultant just sent me over the edge...I'm a little delirious this morning...woke up with no pain :T have had brekkie and didn't feel nauseas :T planning on getting out and about this morning and going for a walk to see if I will be fit by Monday to go back to work. Much as I hate work I want to go back so that I can get all the leave etc sorted out. I am going to 4 day weeks from the beginning of November and kinda hope that me being off again this week will cement that for me lol.......am still giggling at Emsy's story as well hehe
Edited to say woot woot at being engaged and having the C/S put back...I don't want one of those either but MW had mentioned it at last visit due to previous medical conditions but will fight to go natural if I canThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Aww emsy you have made me chuckle!I had something similar, waking up with terrible stomach pains and needing to go to the loo. It was like really painful trapped wind. It lasted from about 20 - 30 weeks then stopped. I've been taking Rennie Deflatine before bed for the last while though. It seems to help a bit.
Right am off out shopping today and will pick some up as I have been feeling rubbish. Tired, achey and grumpy all day every day, I no likey. Poor OH keeps trying to cheer me up, last night he bought me a bunch of flowers and a huge chocolate bar. So I told him that it was very appreciated but hugs and I love you's are just as appreciated (and more MSE).

I'm so glad my wee flinging has amused you
Had a delivery booked today between 7-2, for the PRAMlast thing to come in hurrah.
Asked my dad to do school run for me, as we leave at 8 and I do not get back til about 9, so he duly arrives at 7.50, takes DD, all ok............5 mins later, John Lewis van pulls up and pram is here! S0ds law!
Ah well, 1st time in over 4 years I have not had to do the school run, and good practice for them both for when bubba gets here, as he has offered to do school runs for a bit for me0 -

Dr has signed me off work for 4 weeks, but DD is not the type to let mummy have a lie in. So I am trying to steal sleep if she goes for a nap or if MIL looks after her for a couple of hours. Yesterday we went to a friends house and I got sent to bed for being a misery me whilst my friend looked after DD. I love my friends.

Of course it's sods law Emsy I have booked the day off before because they have told e awkward times and they have delivered at the beginning of that time.....on the other hand it gives you time to do some unplanned pampering :P hehe
I want mine delivered to my MILs cause I'm superstitious but this is my first so if I have another I probably won't be as superstitious lol plus my hubby's best friend is being super superstitious and says that if we have the nursery ready he will bring the furniture up the day he gets the call that the alien has landed and he'll put it up for us but not before lol, and he has 2 Dss' lolThe pod landed and produced baby Timothy on 10th March 20110 -
Talk about preggo brain. I went to pay for groceries in Asda and opened my purse and had no debit card. I had to leave the groceries behind and try to work out where my card might be. I remembered that the last place I had it was in Sainsbury's the day before and called them. I had left it in the little keypad at the self scan till. What a stupid thing to do! Can I put that down to being pregnant please?
hmm well I have done that on several occasions - when not pregnant- but yes blame it on the hormones :rotfl:
